Davina McCall recently shared a touching video from the 2024 National Television Awards, where she spoke emotionally about her now-husband, Michael Douglas. She reposted the clip after the couple secretly tied the knot last week.
I’m so happy to share that the lovely couple recently got married! The TV personality, who’s 58, and her amazing hairdresser partner, 49, had a beautiful, intimate wedding in London. It all happened so quickly – they were engaged just two months ago during a surprise proposal in Ibiza! It’s wonderful to see them so happy together.
In a heartfelt Instagram Story, Davina publicly thanked Michael for his support during both her brain tumor surgery and her recent breast cancer diagnosis.
The celebrity greeted him using his complete name, ‘Michael Douglas,’ and playfully clarified he meant the younger Michael Douglas, distinguishing him from the famous actor with the same name.
With tears in her eyes, she accepted the Special Recognition award, expressing her gratitude and saying, ‘I’m so happy to share this experience with all of you – you inspire me to be my best self, thank you!’
The camera cut to Michael, who watched with obvious pride as the audience erupted in cheers.

Davina chose a white, faux-fur coat instead of a traditional wedding dress when she married Michael in a small ceremony in London.
Photos captured the sweet moment the couple left Marylebone Town Hall after officially getting married.
Davina looked thrilled as she posed with her husband, sporting a white fur coat and lace hat with matching tights and heels. Michael chose a striking blue suit for the occasion.
Davina and Michael received lots of love and support from family and friends at their wedding. Before the ceremony, Davina’s 21-year-old daughter, Tilly, even shared a video on TikTok.
The presenter publicly showed off her wedding ring for the first time while appearing on the Stand Up To Cancer 2025 event on Friday.
During the show, Davina became emotional when a patient from Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, who was being featured in the Cancer Clinic Live segment, paused to ask how she was doing.
The actress, who shared in November that she had surgery for breast cancer, met with Stewart and his wife, Michelle, at the clinic to talk about his fight against bowel cancer.
The special, single-time clinic followed patients through key parts of their healthcare journey, including getting test results and receiving treatment.

As their heartfelt conversation concluded, Davina wished Stewart all the best, and he reciprocated. This left the actress clearly moved.
Choking back tears, she said: ‘Can I just say, you asking me that, I can’t believe that.’
She added: ‘Can I just say something, I’m really good.’
Stewart smiled, pleased by Davina’s gratitude. She gently touched his face as she thanked him for being so kind.
As he and Davina walked off, she called out, still wiping away tears, wishing them a good meeting and a Merry Christmas, adding, ‘I love you both!’
During the segment, Davina also urged the public not to skip their cancer screenings.
Broadcasting live from Addenbrooke’s Hospital as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer, she explained that detecting cancer early remains the most important thing we can do.
If you take away one thing from tonight, it’s this: even if you believe you don’t want to, or don’t need to know something, trust me, you actually do.

Trust yourself and listen to your instincts – you’re the best person to protect yourself. Taking care of your own well-being is crucial, both for your sake and for the people who care about you.
In November 2024, Davina shared that doctors had diagnosed her with a colloid cyst, which is a rare brain tumor.
She bravely endured a gruelling six-hour operation to remove the 14mm cyst.
Roughly a year later, on November 8th, she shared that she’d been diagnosed with breast cancer six weeks prior. She’d found a lump during filming of The Masked Singer and had thankfully undergone successful surgery.
Davina shared that the illness was detected at a very early stage, but treatment with radiation therapy would still be necessary.
