Davina McCall dances with her rarely-seen daughter Tilly, 22, in the spacious kitchen of their Kent home after revealing her breast cancer diagnosis

Davina McCall shared a sweet and cheerful moment with her youngest daughter just after publicly announcing her breast cancer diagnosis.

The television host, who is recovering from surgery to remove a non-cancerous tumor, first shared the surprising news on Instagram Saturday night.

However, things felt more cheerful when McCall, age 58, teamed up with her daughter Tilly – one of her three children with ex-husband Matthew Robertson – to create a TikTok video at their home in Kent.

McCall and the 22-year-old were spotted dancing to ManLikeTwin’s energetic house track, ‘If You Don’t Want This,’ in their large kitchen.

Tilly then shared the post, adding a sweet comment about her mother enjoying the music. She wrote, ‘Always playing upbeat songs for my mom – she was really loving it!’

On Saturday evening, McCall shared with her Instagram followers that she discovered a lump during a self-exam, prompted by seeing posters for Lorraine Kelly’s Change + Check campaign at the ITV studios. The campaign encouraged self-checks, which led to her diagnosis of breast cancer.

McCall emphasized that her cancer was detected at a very early stage, but she will undergo five days of radiotherapy in January as a precaution to ensure it doesn’t return.

I was so shocked when she told me she’d had a biopsy and it came back positive for breast cancer. She had surgery – a lumpectomy – almost three weeks ago, and she’s been so brave through it all.

It was tiny and caught very early, which I feel incredibly fortunate about. I’m so relieved it was removed before it could spread.

I was initially upset when I learned about it, but I’ve moved past that and feel much better now.

She wrote with the video: ‘It’s important to be familiar with your breasts, pay attention to any changes, and don’t delay getting checked. Take advantage of free screenings, and always investigate any unusual symptom. Sending lots of love!’

The actress first shared her health diagnosis at her charity event, Dine With Davina, which surprised everyone present.

She explained that Lorraine Kelly had posted reminders on every door – ‘check your breasts’ – and she made a point of doing so every time she used the restroom.

It hadn’t gone away, and one morning when I looked in the mirror, I realized I needed to see a doctor about it.

After the announcement, fans and celebrities quickly filled the comments section with messages of support and good wishes.

In November 2024, McCall shared that she had been diagnosed with a colloid cyst, which is a rare, non-cancerous brain tumor.

Following a difficult six-hour surgery to remove a cyst from her brain, she happily shared that she no longer has cancer.

The presenter is optimistic about 2026 and is also planning her wedding to Michael Douglas, her partner of many years.

Douglas, a well-known hairstylist, proposed to McCall during a romantic getaway to Ibiza. They first met while working together on the reality TV show, Big Brother.

I was completely shocked!” she told HELLO! “Michael is hilarious and for the last two years, he’d playfully pretended to tie an imaginary shoelace on my finger as a sweet gesture.

I was honestly scared he was kidding when he went through with it. But he’d put a lot of thought into it, and I really admired that.

After ending her 18-year marriage to Matthew Robertson – the father of her children, Holly, Tilly, and Chester – she began a relationship with a close friend in 2019.

Although she’s excited about her future with her new fiancé, McCall – who previously stated she’d never marry again – doesn’t want a traditional engagement ring.

I remember her telling me countless times she never wanted a big wedding! She’s always been clear that when she finally does get married, it’ll be a really intimate and private affair – just close family and friends. She truly values keeping things personal and doesn’t want a fuss.

‘Getting married at this stage of life is so different… it’s a big deal.’
