As a dedicated follower and admirer of Davina McCall, I find her strength and resilience truly inspiring. Her journey, marked by the challenges of a rare brain condition and the loss of loved ones to similar afflictions, is a testament to her indomitable spirit.

On Thursday night, Davina McCall choked back tears while delivering a heartfelt speech during the Brain Tumor Research Campaign event.

Last month, I found myself facing an uncommon challenge when I underwent brain surgery for a colloid cyst, a condition that afflicts just three out of every million individuals.

And the star made her first public appearance since her operation as she attended the event at All Saints Church, Fulham to support her neurosurgeon Kevin O’Neill.

Tearing up in the speech she began: ‘I’m crying already, that didn’t go well’.

In the short clip she continued: ‘I know lots of you here are on your own brain tumour journey and many of you have lost loved ones to a brain tumour.

‘I lost my sister to a brain tumour in 2012 and my ex father in law a year ago.’

In a flurry of joy, I gleefully captured moments as my partner, Michael Douglas, and the talented surgeon, Kevin O’Neil, graced my presence following a remarkable procedure.

Acknowledging Davina’s presence at the event, Brain Tumour Research Campaign posted photos and commended her for her ‘bravery and elegance’.

They wrote: ‘It was an enchanting Christmas evening celebration indeed! A heartfelt appreciation to all who were there, for helping make the occasion so extraordinary.’

The evening kicked off under the inspiring leadership of our esteemed Chairman, Kevin O’Neill, who set the mood with his heartfelt enthusiasm.

Later on, we found ourselves deeply touched by the powerful narrative of Davina McCall, as she bravely revealed her personal experiences.

‘Her message about the importance of funding for brain tumour research truly resonated with us all. Thank you, Davina, for being such a powerful voice for this cause.’

Earlier this month, the celebrity mentioned that upon waking from her surgery, both her doctor and partner Michael had been alarmed, which she subsequently disclosed to her followers.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but express my gratitude to my miracle worker of a surgeon. Initially, I found myself disoriented and puzzled following the operation, but today, I’m feeling significantly improved!

In the video she said: ‘Hi, I thought I’d do a little catch-up post, and I’m gonna out my surgeon.

‘He is called Kevin O’Neill and he has been amazing. Oviously trying to find somebody that knew about coloid cysts and stuff was quite a challenge, and Kevin is very experienced as a neurosurgeon, and he done another coloid cyst this year and he has been brilliant.

After the operation, he understood everything thoroughly, and I must admit that both him and Michael received quite a shock from me right afterwards due to my confusion. However, I’m doing exceptionally well at the moment.

‘I just wanted to thank him and all the team for taking such really really good care of me thank you. And, yeah I’m gonna take you and your Mrs out for an amazing dinner Kevin.’
