Georgia Tennant, wife of actor David Tennant, has had to involve the police after receiving disturbing death threats online. This comes only weeks after someone offered money to have her harmed.
On Friday, the 40-year-old actress shared screenshots on her Instagram Stories of hateful messages she received. These messages included abusive language, calling her names and even threatening her life.
Georgia married David Tennant, the Doctor Who star, in 2011, and they have five children together. News reports also identified her as David Tennant’s ex-wife.
She was also subjected to harsh and hurtful abuse, being called ‘disgusting’ and told to go back to where she came from.
I was absolutely horrified seeing the messages, and Georgia did the right thing immediately tagging the Metropolitan Police and Instagram. She had to get them involved – it was a desperate plea for help, and honestly, it broke my heart to see her needing to do that.
I’m a big fan of Georgia and her family! She and her husband are parents to four wonderful children: Olive, who’s 14, Wilfred, 12, Doris, 10, and little Birdie, who’s five. Georgia also has a grown-up son, Ty, who’s 23, from a previous relationship, and he’s a lovely part of the family too.

Georgia recently shared that she’s being stalked and that someone offered a reward for her murder online. She’s contacted both Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg, asking them to intervene.
She showed an example of one of the threats she received, which stated: “Anyone who kills Georgia Tennant will be rewarded by me.”
The actress recently posted a loving message about her husband, marking 17 years since they began their relationship.
Georgia shared a collection of photos from their time together and praised her husband, describing him as kind, funny, and incredibly generous.
She playfully teased her husband after he didn’t win a BAFTA Television Award this weekend, even though he was nominated for his work on the Disney+ show Rivals.
Georgia celebrated 17 years with her partner, expressing her gratitude and joy at sharing life with them. She affectionately described her partner as kind, funny, and incredibly generous, playfully acknowledging their lack of a BAFTA award with a loving ‘You are it x’.
Georgia and David met in 2008 while working on the BBC show Doctor Who. Georgia played the role of David’s character’s daughter, Jenny, who was genetically engineered. They got married three years later.
The popular actor was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for his performance in Rivals, but Lennie Jamies won the award for his work in Mr Loverman.

Although he received positive attention for his work on ‘Rivals’ – and a second series is already being filmed – ITV’s attempt to establish him as a prominent on-screen talent hasn’t worked out. His newest show has performed very poorly in the ratings, becoming one of the channel’s biggest failures in recent years.
The actor hosted Genius Game, which cost ITV more than £2.5million to make.
Even though the channel spent money to attract the former Doctor Who actor, this week’s viewership numbers were disappointing, averaging only 739,000 viewers.
According to a source at ITV, ‘The Genius Game’ was quickly put together as the channel tried to replicate the popularity of ‘The Traitors’ with another competitive reality show.
David Tennant was cast because he’s a very well-known actor, but his high salary did increase the show’s production costs. Despite the significant investment, the show hasn’t attracted a large audience.
The prime-time reality game-show sees contestants compete in a series of mental challenges.
Genius Game started with an average of 1.2 million viewers for its first episode, but viewership fell sharply to 846,000 by the second episode.
Viewership dropped significantly this week, and ITV has decided to reduce the show’s airings from twice a week to just once.
