Fans will soon be able to stream *The Escape Artist*, a crime drama featuring David Tennant, on Netflix. The show originally aired on BBC but has been largely unavailable until now.
This limited series, created and written by David Wolstencroft, features the actor playing Will Burton, a lawyer known for successfully defending criminals in court.
Will keeps winning his cases, most recently by defending Liam Foyle (Toby Kebbell). However, this success brings unexpected trouble when Foyle starts to harass Will’s wife, Kate (Ashley Jensen), and their son, Jamie (Gus Barry).

David Tennant has a smaller project debuting on Netflix this weekend, but he’ll soon be seen in a new seven-episode ITV drama called *The Hack*, alongside Toby Jones and Robert Carlyle.
The upcoming series, co-written by Jack Thorne (known for *Adolescence*), is based on the real phone hacking scandal at News International. David Tennant will play Nick Davies, the journalist who investigated the story.
The Escape Artist will stream on Netflix from 20 September.
