In that spot, Tony encounters Victoria Smurfit, who is Maud O’Hara, as she exits her open-top Volkswagen Golf with a flair for theatrics.
Declan, played by Aidan Turner, has a relationship with Maud that’s sometimes on and sometimes off. In a playful moment, Maud casually drops her sunglasses to the ground, then picks them back up in a flirtatious manner with a twirl, which leads to a friendly banter with Tony.

Despite appearing to be in good shape based on this photo, Tony’s future was uncertain following a severe injury he sustained at the close of season 1.
It was made official in May that Tennant will once again play the character Tony, implying that his character has healed from the head wound inflicted by Cameron Cook, who struck him after their recent award win. (Nafessa Williams plays the role of producer Cook)
In the upcoming season, Tennant will be reunited with several familiar faces from the first season. Among them are Alex Hassell reprising his role as Rupert Campbell-Black, Tony’s rival; Aidan Turner returning as Declan O’Hara; Victoria Smurfit as Maud O’Hara, Declan’s wife; Katherine Parkinson as Lizzie Vereker; and Danny Dyer portraying Freddie Jones.

Recently, Hayley Atwell from Marvel and Rupert Everett known for My Best Friend’s Wedding have joined the cast of Rivals season 2, as announced yesterday.
In the upcoming production, Atwell takes on the role of Rupert’s (played by Alex Hassell) former wife, Helen Gordon, who is also the mother of his two kids. Everett has been cast as Malise Gordon, Helen’s current spouse.
Starting in the USA on Hulu, and in the UK as well as internationally on Disney+, the series “Rivals” will resume airing. At present, all episodes from season one of “Rivals” can be streamed on Disney+.
