David Tennant, Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker team up for new Doctor Who project
Fans of Doctor Who are once again in for a treat with a fresh venture hailing from the Doctor Who universe, and some well-known characters are joining in.
Previously known performers David Tennant, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker have teamed up for a charitable endeavor, collaborating on a fresh “Doctor Who” publication.
The innovative Whoniverse initiative is spearheaded by Sophie Aldred, renowned for her role as the Seventh Doctor’s companion, Ace.
What to Read Next
The central theme of the latest book is a distinctive article of clothing, which Aldred’s character, Ace, often wears – his jacket embellished with a notable badge.
As a gamer, diving into the pages of “Ace Jacket: The Inside Story,” I’m excited to uncover the backstories of each one of the fifty badges adorning Ace’s iconic jacket. This intriguing concept was brainstormed by Whovian Shawn Levy, a fellow gaming enthusiast who shares my curiosity about the origins of these emblems.
As a devoted fan, I must clarify that while Tennant, Capaldi, and Whittaker are undeniably prominent figures in the world of Doctor Who, they’re not the sole contributors to the creation of this new book. Other esteemed Doctor Who stars have also lent their creative talents to its pages.
Additionally, we’ve had the participation of actors such as Peter Davison, Colin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy, who are well-known for their roles as doctors in the project.
Additionally, creators of the successful sci-fi series, Chris Chibnall and Steven Moffat, have also lent their talents to the project.
As a passionate gamer, I reached out to some incredible individuals from the Doctor Who universe, such as David Tennant and Chris Chibnall. I approached them personally and asked if they’d be interested in crafting a tale around one of the badges that caught their fancy. According to BBC News, Aldred shared this. I didn’t hesitate to network, reaching out to people I knew and even cornering them at parties or conventions.
They’ve composed brief narratives, verses, or rhymes – we’ve also received artwork, cartoons, and various other forms.
In simpler terms, the actor shared that a portion of the funds generated from the book sale would be donated to charities like Autism All Stars and the National Autistic Society.
She mentioned that they aimed to select charities with some connection to the popular series “Doctor Who”, as there are numerous “Doctor Who” enthusiasts within the autism community. In her experience, she has encountered countless individuals from this group who are not only remarkable but truly inspiring.
I strongly believe it’s important to increase public knowledge and collect funds for these worthy causes.
Ace Jacket: The Inside Story is on sale now.
