David Tennant makes rare appearance with lookalike daughter Olive, 14, at star-studded opening of Paddington: The Musical – after she followed in his footsteps with string of acting roles

On Sunday, David Tennant and his daughter, Olive, were spotted at the Savoy Theatre in London for the premiere of Paddington: The Musical. It was a rare public outing for the pair.

The 54-year-old Doctor Who actor, who has five children, looked sharp on the red carpet. He wore a plaid overcoat over a cable-knit sweater and smart trousers.

I always say, a great outfit is about comfort and confidence! This dad nailed it – he paired stylish glasses with comfy trainers, and you could just see how proud he was posing with his daughter. It’s a perfect example of looking good and feeling good, all while enjoying a special moment.

Fourteen-year-old Olive, following in the footsteps of her well-known father, looked great in a navy shirt and short skirt. She’s already building her own acting career with several roles to her name.

She finished her outfit with black cowboy boots and styled her long blonde hair in soft, flowing curls.

David and his wife, Georgia, 40, have three children together: Wilfred, 12, Doris, 10, and Birdie, 5. Georgia also has a 23-year-old son, Ty, from a previous relationship.

Olive started her acting career in the 2021 film Belfast, where she appeared alongside Judi Dench and Jamie Dornan. She later starred in the TV series Avoidance with Romesh Ranganathan.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always thrilled to share heartwarming stories, and ‘Paddington: The Musical’ is definitely one of those! It’s a beautiful show with music by Tom Fletcher from McFly, and it follows Paddington’s arrival in London. He’s this sweet little bear from Peru, and through a wonderful meeting with the Brown family, he finally finds a place to call home. It’s just a lovely, feel-good experience!

This incident follows recent threats made against David’s wife, Georgia. She had to report new, disturbing death threats she received on social media to the police, shortly after someone offered money for her to be harmed.

The actress shared screenshots of hateful messages she received on Instagram Stories, which included abusive language and death threats. She was called a very offensive name and told she deserved to die.

Georgia, married to the actor since 2011 and mother to their five children, was identified in the article as David Tennant’s ex-wife.

Honestly, it breaks my heart to share that this person was subjected to incredibly harsh and hurtful attacks. They were not only called awful names – truly disgusting things – but were also told to just go back wherever they were perceived to have come from. It’s a really painful example of how cruel online interactions can be, and it highlights the importance of kindness and respect.

Georgia shared screenshots of the messages and tagged the Metropolitan Police and Instagram, hoping they would step in to help.

In September, Georgia shared that she’s being stalked and that someone offered a reward for her murder online. She contacted Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg directly, asking them to intervene.

She showed an example of one of the threats she received, which stated: “Anyone who kills Georgia Tennant will be rewarded by me.”

Paddington Bear recently announced that his famous blue duffle coat is currently fashionable, and he’s been offering tips on fashion and style in a new interview.

Oh my goodness, you guys, Paddington Bear! The Paddington! He’s just the sweetest, most wonderful bear, and a total British icon, obviously. After appearing in, like, twenty-nine books and three movies – can you believe it?! – he actually made his West End musical debut! I’m still reeling! Anyway, he was so gracious, he took time out from everything to talk to British Vogue, and it was all happening in the Royal Suite of the Savoy Hotel! The Savoy! I’m so jealous! It was just… magical.

You know, I was just reading this fascinating piece in a magazine about Paddington Bear! They weren’t just admiring his adorable style – they were celebrating him as a real success story. It’s wonderful how he’s become a symbol of someone building a great life after moving to London from Peru. It really highlights the positive impact immigrants can have, and it’s lovely to see him representing that!

Paddington shared a funny observation about winter fashion in a recent Instagram video. When asked his opinion, he pointed out that everyone is simply wearing coats and hats to stay warm!

I heard that duffle coats are currently very popular with British designers, and that’s considered a positive trend.

As a long-time admirer of Paddington, I always loved how he understood British style! He used to say that because of our weather, things like raincoats, umbrellas, and wellies weren’t just useful – they were actually really fashionable too. He had such a good point!

The magazine also highlighted the character as welcoming and representative of a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.

If you’re a fan of Paddington’s fashion and want to copy his style, he shared where he originally got his distinctive outfit.

My hat has a special history – it once belonged to Montgomery Clyde, a famous explorer. He visited Peru years ago and was a good friend to my Aunt Lucy and Uncle Pastuzo.

When I arrived in London, I was hoping to find him. My coat originally belonged to Mr. Brown, Paddington’s father, then to his brother Jonathan, and they were kind enough to give it to me.
