David Tennant and Ben Miller’s British comedy is on TV tonight

People who have experienced a family vacation by car will easily recognize themselves in the British comedy titled “What We Did on Our Holiday“.

Released in cinemas in September 2014, the movie stars David Tennant and Ben Miller as brothers Doug and Gavin McLeod. Their father Gordie (Billy Connolly) has terminal cancer, so millionaire Gavin is hosting a party in his mansion in the Scottish highlands.

Doug, accompanied by his spouse Abi (Rosamund Pike) and their three kids, make their way to the gathering together as a family unit. However, things aren’t entirely what they seem, as Doug and Abi have actually parted ways, yet they’re intent on concealing this fact from Gavin and the rest of the group.

As a big fan who can’t get enough of heartwarming comedies, I highly recommend checking out or rewatching “What We Did on Our Holiday” tonight (September 4) at 10.40pm on BBC One if you haven’t already!
