David Hasselhoff in Health Crisis: Living on Borrowed Time?
On a somber Monday, I found myself mirroring David Hasselhoff‘s weary steps as he was gently guided through the bustling airport in a wheelchair. It’s been just weeks since the heart-rending news of his former wife, Pamela Bach’s tragic suicide, and it’s hard not to notice the palpable weight that seems to be bearing down on him.
The Daily Mail acquired unique photographs that show the 72-year-old actor being pushed through airports in Cancun, Mexico, and on his way back to Los Angeles, by airport staff.
Following his departure from the wheelchair, Hasselhoff, wearing a striped shirt and a dark baseball cap, relied on his wife Hayley Roberts, aged 45, for support as they left the airport.
Behind the cheerful facade he presents – complete with smiles, thumbs up, and waves for the cameras – there are whispers among confidants that his past wild living habits have started to take their toll on him.
According to a source familiar with the matter, David Hasselhoff is currently spending his days as if they were loaned to him, and he’s had quite an intense life.
He led a life many would envy, yet for decades, he coped with life’s challenges by turning to alcohol and other substances. This is something he now looks back on with regret.

The source mentioned that Hasselhoff’s health has been deteriorating for quite some period, largely due to his long-term struggle with alcohol.
As the Baywatch star hobbled at LAX, he attempted to allay worries by informing photographers that he was scheduled for a knee operation soon.
The individual is well into his seventies and has undergone multiple significant surgeries, one of which involved the implantation of a defibrillator as a precaution against heart attacks. Our source stated that he is currently abstaining from alcohol, but understands that each surgery could potentially be his last.
It is said that Hasselhoff’s battle with alcoholism allegedly led to the ending of his marriage with Bach, his second spouse, who tragically passed away at the age of 61 in her residence in the Hollywood Hills on March 5. She reportedly took her own life.
Emergency responders, known as paramedics, were summoned to the home of an actress where they found that she had taken her own life using a firearm.
Through a representative, Hasselhoff expressed deep sadness over Bach’s passing, having been seen looking visibly affected just days following the event.
He was noticeably absent from Bach’s funeral.
In 1986, they crossed paths on the set of David Hasselhoff’s science fiction show, Knight Rider. Interestingly, he was then married to his first spouse, Catherine Hickland, while she was involved with a comedian.
In 1989, Hasselhoff and Hickland ended their marriage. Later, on the set of Baywatch, he reconnected with Bach as she took on a minor role. After nine months of courting, she discovered she was pregnant. This prompted them to hurry their wedding.

For seventeen years, from 1989 to 2006, I was married to my partner. However, our union, much to our regret, ended in a bitter Hollywood divorce, allegedly due to my struggles with alcohol and my wife’s physical challenges following a motorcycle accident in 2003. The aftermath of this incident left her with persistent pain for the rest of her life, making it difficult for her to care for me as I battled with my addiction issues.
Back in 2008, Bach revealed to the Daily Mail that David Hasselhoff (often referred to as ‘The Hoff’) struggled with alcohol, yet she maintained a shield around him and their two kids, Hayley (now 32) and Taylor (34).
Everyone believed he shone like a shining star in swimming trunks on the beach alongside Pamela Anderson, but alcohol had become his downfall. To me, he was the man who stumbled on the bedroom floor, she stated.
He has an illness similar to cancer, and much like how cancer can erode a family from within, this condition has had a profound impact on ours as well.
2007 marked the moment that David Hasselhoff’s life took a turn for the better, as I, a fervent admirer, came to realize. A video, captured by his daughter Taylor, became public, revealing me in a state of intoxication, struggling to savor a simple burger. Fast-forward to 2015, in an interview with The Mirror, I bravely admitted my journey towards recovery, sharing that I had been regularly attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
The actor met his third and current wife, Roberts, in 2011.
In Cardiff, where a talent competition called Britain’s Got Talent was being recorded, there was a stunning woman from Wales, approximately thirty years his junior. It so happened that at that moment, ‘The Hoff’ was serving as one of the judges on this show. Accompanied by her younger sibling, she bravely requested a photo with him.
He, in turn, requested her phone number – and the rest is history.
In 2016, Hasselhoff proposed, and they got married in a grand Italian wedding ceremony two years after that.
Hasselhoff’s representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
