Alison Sudol, who previously dated David Harbour, has publicly voiced her support for Lily Allen. This comes after Allen revealed details about Harbour’s infidelity in her candid and unflinching new album.
The actress and songwriter responded to a post about Lily’s new album on Instagram this week.
Alison, age 40, briefly dated David in 2018, before he became known for his relationship with the singer of “Not Fair.” She responded to a post promoting the singer’s new record with seven flame emojis.
The singer’s recently released song, “West End Girl,” is getting attention for its very direct and honest lyrics about the end of her four-year marriage to David. The marriage ended last December following accusations of infidelity against the actor.
In her popular song, “Madeline,” she seems to be openly discussing David’s affair, referring to the other woman with a made-up name.
The second verse of Lily’s song, “Pussy Palace,” poignantly describes finding a box of letters from women who wished her partner had treated them better.

In 2018, Alison publicly expressed her affection for Harbour on Instagram during Valentine’s Day, calling herself fortunate to be with him.
I was just thinking how amazing the person I’m with is, as we go through life together.
It’s amazing to share life with such a kind, warm, and vibrant person. Just doing everyday things together – like enjoying meals, reading aloud, or watching our dog nap – feels incredibly special, doesn’t it?
They have such a vibrant and passionate spirit, and are a truly gifted artist. They’re also a deeply caring and insightful person who has completely transformed my life – I feel incredibly fortunate to know them.
It’s unclear what led to Alison and David’s relationship breaking down in 2019.
Alison, originally from Los Angeles, is famous for playing Queenie Goldstein in the Fantastic Beasts movies and their follow-ups.
The actress and her fiancé, Tom Cullen, are now parents to two children. She has previously shared her painful experience with a miscarriage.

Speaking about the difficult experience in 2022, she explained that no amount of healing or work she’d done could change the fact that it still affected her.
‘I’ve written an entire album about it. But it just remains.’
Lily revealed this week that she’s embarking on her first tour in seven years, with performances scheduled in theaters throughout the UK in March 2026.
She’s starting her tour in Glasgow, and then will perform in Liverpool, Newcastle, Bristol, and Cardiff.
The tour will finish with two performances by Lily at the famous London Palladium.
After her breakup with David, Lily sought help at a high-end trauma treatment center costing £8,000 per week to prioritize her mental wellbeing.
She shared that she uses her music to process difficult emotions and express her honest feelings.
The mother of two explained that people weren’t aware of her personal struggles. She went to the recording studio, spent two hours crying, and then decided to channel her emotions into creating music.
The Mail on Sunday was the first to uncover the true identity of Madeline and interviewed her at her home in the United States.

Lily recently suggested she’s reconciled with her ex-husband. In a new interview, she emphasized that she has no desire for revenge against him, hinting that they’ve worked things out.
Lily recently told Interview magazine that her perspective on her divorce has changed since she first publicly discussed it last December.
When asked if her new album was created as a way to get back at someone, Lily explained that it wasn’t. She wrote the album very quickly, in just 10 days in December, and has since moved on from the difficult situation that inspired it. She acknowledged that breakups are always incredibly painful for everyone.
‘But I don’t think it’s that often that you feel inclined to write about it while you’re in it.’
She explained that the album’s appeal comes from how raw and emotional it feels – like experiencing things in the moment. While she was working through difficult feelings when she made it, she’s now moved past that. She doesn’t feel any lingering confusion or a need for retribution.
