David Harbour was recently the subject of a complaint made by his Stranger Things co-star, Millie Bobby Brown, before filming began on season 5. She alleged that Harbour engaged in bullying and harassment. While details haven’t been publicly released, sources have confirmed the complaint was made and the matter has been addressed. Despite the issue, Harbour and Brown appeared friendly together at the show’s premiere in November.
According to PEOPLE magazine, David Harbour will no longer be attending the Stranger Things: The Final Season Celebration in New York City on December 18th. He’s been removed from the list of expected attendees at the event, including the red carpet and a screening with a conversation. A Paley Center representative stated Harbour won’t be able to make it due to a scheduling conflict.
David Harbour won’t be the only cast member absent from the event. Millie Bobby Brown is also unable to attend Stranger Things: The Final Season Celebration because of a recent injury. Fortunately, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, and Maya Hawke are all still scheduled to be there.
David Harbour likely won’t be at the premiere of his new movie, Avengers: Doomsday, following a recent incident. TMZ published a video on December 17th showing Harbour at a pub in Encinitas, California, allegedly taking a man’s hat and walking away with it. The video, reportedly filmed at Encinitas Ale House, appears to show Harbour holding a white cap that doesn’t belong to him.
According to TMZ, the video shows Harbour shouting swear words, causing people in the bar to go outside and see what the commotion was about. Someone can be heard begging him not to fight. Luckily, a physical altercation didn’t happen, and the other man eventually came back inside, retrieving his hat.
In a 2018 interview with Marc Maron, David Harbour discussed his experience with bipolar disorder. He explained that he was diagnosed with the condition in his mid-twenties after experiencing a manic episode while sober and exploring his faith. This conversation took place as his career was gaining momentum with the popular show Stranger Things, and he had just received two Emmy nominations for his role as Hopper.
