David Harbour confirmed to lead “unsettling” psychological horror with “excellent twist”

I’m so excited! David Harbour, who I love as Hopper in Stranger Things, is going to be the lead in a new psychological horror movie called A Head Full of Ghosts. Apparently, it’s really unsettling and has a fantastic twist! Plus, it sounds like Rebecca Hall and Esmé Creed-Miles are joining him in the main roles, which is awesome. I can’t wait to see this!

The movie is based on Paul Tremblay’s 2015 novel and tells the story of a family struggling after their teenage daughter begins to exhibit symptoms of severe schizophrenia.

The Barrett family’s peaceful suburban life is shattered when their teenage daughter begins to struggle with mental illness, and a reality show focuses on their experiences.

Fifteen years after the tragic events, Merry must confront her family’s painful history with the help of a journalist. Together, they investigate the source of the darkness that shattered their lives.

According to Deadline, filming for the new movie is scheduled to begin in March. Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala, who previously worked on The Lodge, will be writing and directing the film.

Lionsgate will distribute the film, which is being produced by Team Downey, The Allegiance Theater, and Fifth Season.

Adam Fogelson, head of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, announced they’re excited to collaborate with Team Downey, The Allegiance Theater, David Gambino, and Fifth Season on this project, praising their combined experience and creative vision.

The team’s creative approach to this scary story has been truly impressive – visually powerful, unique, and deeply disturbing. It’s easy to see why Stephen King named it his favorite book of the last ten years, even saying it terrified him – and that speaks volumes.

Stephen King, the famous horror writer, admitted that A Head Full of Ghosts truly frightened him, saying it was a rare experience because he’s not easily scared.

According to The Daily Mail, this book is a chilling and realistic story that parents of difficult teenagers might find particularly disturbing. It’s described as a smart, though bleak, modern-day fable with a surprising twist, and its power comes from how relatable it is.

According to Sci-Fi Now, this book is a frightening, smart, and surprisingly emotional horror story that truly stands out.
