David Fincher returns to Netflix for unexpected sequel to hit movie

It’s been announced that David Fincher will revisit Netflix, this time to produce an unanticipated continuation of a popular film by Quentin Tarantino.

It’s said that the director, who has collaborated with the streaming service before on projects such as Mank, The Killer, and Mindhunter, is apparently developing a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

In 2019, Quentin Tarantino’s movie premiered, showcasing Brad Pitt portraying the role of Cliff Booth to critical acclaim, earning him an Academy Award.

As reported by The Playlist, Brad Pitt is slated to reprise his role with Fincher at the helm; however, it’s undecided if Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie will rejoin as Rick Dalton and Sharon Tate, as Tarantino penned the script for the sequel.

It seems the manufacturing might commence as soon as this summer, implying we may not need to wait much longer before we can witness it.

It was reported that Quentin Tarantino’s supposed last film, titled The Movie Critic, was initially planned to star Brad Pitt as his character Booth. However, those plans have changed since then.

Previously this year, Tarantino disclosed the reason behind him not directing a film since the 2019 production. He mentioned that he has been devoting time to nurture his son, Leo.

He expressed that he’s not eager to start releasing films immediately, as he has already spent about three decades involved in production. This comment was made during the Sundance Film Festival.

The director mentioned that he’d prefer to avoid starting any film project until his son turns six, implying a potential start date no earlier than 2026.

Tarantino hinted at his current project being a play, stating, “Should it become a resounding success, this could potentially mark the end of my filmmaking career.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is streaming now on Netflix.
