David Duchovny, known for his role in The X-Files, has shared his thoughts on the new reboot and whether he’ll be involved.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor revealed he’s talked with director Ryan Coogler and has a basic idea of what the new X-Files series will be about, though he hasn’t seen the script. They’ve begun discussing his potential involvement, but nothing is confirmed yet.
Duchovny hasn’t been told if his character, Fox Mulder, will even be part of the new series. Because of this, he’s saying everything is just speculation and he can’t comment on it right now.
He isn’t the only original cast member to discuss Ryan Coogler’s planned revival of The X-Files. Gillian Anderson shared last year that she also spoke with Coogler, telling him he was ideal for the reboot and expressing her willingness to return as Dana Scully if he was interested.
