David Beckham’s Desperate Plea to Brooklyn

David Beckham recently interacted with his son, Brooklyn Beckham, on social media, fueling speculation about ongoing family tensions.

On his 50th birthday, the ex-professional football player felt let down when neither his eldest son nor his wife Nicola Peltz, who is 29 years old, attended any of the festivities planned for the celebration.

It became clear that for several months, there had been strain between Brooklyn and Nicola and other family members, which led to them missing yet another family gathering or event.

There’s been an ongoing dispute within the Beckham family, with Brooklyn (at age 26) and Nicola taking one stance, while the rest of the family holds a different position.

As an ardent admirer, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of disappointment when Brooklyn and Nicola conspicuously missed every single one of David’s 50th milestone events. The media outlet, The Mail, further fueled my curiosity by suggesting that Kim Turnbull, Romeo’s girlfriend, has been unfairly cast as the ‘fall guy’ in this ongoing feud.

David appears to be eager to reconcile with his son Brooklyn, as he apprehensively believes that past events may be recurring, after a contentious rift with his father, Ted, in 2005.

Recently, David expanded his post on Mother’s Day in the U.S., specifically mentioning Brooklyn, as a tribute to his partner Victoria, who is 51 years old.

A delightful image in black and white featured Victoria snuggled with her quartet of children, not long following the arrival of their daughter Harper, who is currently 13 years old. In addition to Harper, they have two sons: Romeo, aged 22, and Cruz, aged 20.

A cute black-and-white snap showed Victoria all cozy with her four kids after welcoming Harper into the family (she’s now 13). The boys, Romeo (22) and Cruz (20), were also in the picture.

Next to the picture, David penned: “Wishing a very Happy Mother’s Day to the finest mother! And to all our friends in the United States, enjoy your Mother’s Day as well.

In the meantime, Victoria posted a picture of a stunning floral arrangement that Cruz and his partner, Jackie Apostel (aged 29), had sent her as a gift. So far, she hasn’t published any photographs showcasing presents from her other kids.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but marvel at the extraordinary bond between David and his old man, Ted, who just turned 77. Believe it or not, this loving pair used to barely exchange words.

Following Ted’s brush with death due to a health issue in 2007, it led them to reconcile and reconnect. Since then, they have maintained a strong relationship.

Currently, it seems that David is expressing concern that history may be reoccurring due to his disagreement with his and Victoria’s eldest child, Brooklyn.

According to reports, a good friend of David confided in The Sun that David and his family deeply worry that Brooklyn might be lost to them permanently.

In this context, the word ‘lost’ carries a profound meaning because it was the very feeling that David experienced when he had a falling-out with his father.

Ted felt deeply saddened because he thought his son would cut off contact with him, and this left him shattered. Those years were filled with tension, and they took a heavy toll on everyone in the family.

Previously, it took David more than twenty years to earn his father’s approval for his thriving football career.

In 2024, during an interview with James Corden on his podcast “This Life of Mine,” David shared that his ambition stemmed primarily from the desire to win the approval of his father Ted. He revealed that he could only hear ‘you’ve made it boy’ from his father after achieving 100 caps.

It wasn’t until my one-hundredth match that my father praised me for doing well – the first time he ever expressed his pride in me, saying, “You’ve truly achieved something, son.

Although he won six Premier League titles, two FA cups, four Community Shields, and a Champions League title throughout his career, he never received the same level of recognition at any other point in his career.

David stated, “That was the time when, following my winning the hundredth cap in Paris, we found ourselves dining together, and he affectionately wrapped an arm around me, saying, ‘You’ve arrived, son.’

The Beckham family is struggling due to concerns that they may not be able to mend their disagreement with Brooklyn, as Victoria has reportedly lost sleep worrying about the ongoing dispute.

Reports suggest that the fashion designer and her spouse, David, have allegedly experienced deep sorrow due to the increasing gap in their relationship with their oldest child.

According to a source, it’s Victoria’s greatest fear that any of her children might have disputes, keeping her awake at night.

Ever since Brooklyn got together with Nicola, things have been challenging for him, and it’s undeniable that their wedding caused quite a rift within the family.

‘But Victoria and David have worked hard to get things back on track, so this is a real blow.’
