David Beckham ‘tries to have viral his moment’ in Victoria’s documentary two years after her Rolls Royce line went viral in his Netflix series

A moment from David Beckham‘s 2023 documentary went viral when his wife, Victoria, openly discussed her upbringing in a working-class family.

With Victoria’s new Netflix show coming out, her husband seems to be attempting to get some attention for himself.

The three-part film begins with Victoria Beckham casually moving around the kitchen of her and David’s $38 million London home.

David annoyed his wife, Victoria, by using the loud blender right before leaving for work. He gave her a long hug and told a joke as a playful goodbye.

‘What do you call a bear with no teeth? Gummy bear,’ quips the former footballer.

Victoria playfully tells the camera that he believes he’ll have a big moment in the documentary, but she assures viewers it’s really about her.

Two years ago, a moment in David’s documentary went viral when Victoria passionately discussed her upbringing and described her family as ‘very working class’.

David, clearly surprised, asked Victoria to tell the truth, and she insisted she was being honest. He then kept pressing her to remember what kind of car her father used to drive her to school.

Finally, the Spice Girl agreed, revealing, ‘Okay, my dad owned a Rolls-Royce in the 1980s.’ David simply said ‘Thank you,’ then left and shut the door, having gotten the information he needed.

Victoria quickly released a £110 T-shirt with the phrase ‘My Dad Had A Rolls Royce’ as part of her own clothing line.

The couple also spoofed the scene in a Super Bowl advert debut for Uber Eats.

When it premiered two years ago, the Netflix documentary about David Beckham quickly became the platform’s most popular show, attracting 11.6 million viewers worldwide over two weeks, according to Netflix data.

Netflix hopes to score the same dizzying levels of success with their Victoria documentary.

The documentary series features the singer and fashion designer openly discussing her family and time with the Spice Girls.

The piece will also cover the difficulties Victoria faced with her fashion label, with Victoria sharing that her business once lost ‘millions’ and David admitting the debt caused him significant worry.

Victoria has repeatedly emphasized that her family comes first. In a recent trailer, she tearfully shared her simple wish: ‘I want my kids and David to be proud of me.’

The trailer concludes with David comforting his upset wife, telling her that even something simple like making a cheese and ham toastie would be enough to make him proud.

Victoria then quipped back: ‘Let’s be honest I couldn’t actually make a cheese sandwich very well.’

Just last year, it came out that her brand, which had struggled for years, was finally profitable – 17 years after it first started.

Financial reports for Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd. showed a loss of £5.89 million in 2021. While still a loss, this was an improvement compared to the £8.58 million loss reported in 2020.

When the numbers were calculated, the company had accumulated losses of £66.3 million since it began operating in 2008. As a result, the company’s directors, including Victoria and her husband David, didn’t receive any dividend payments.

Victoria Beckham is streaming on Netflix now.
