David Beckham stays loyal to his humble roots as he picks up a low-key lunch from a fish shack in Essex as Cruz tries to heal rift with Brooklyn

David Beckham showed he hasn’t forgotten his beginnings when he grabbed a simple lunch at a small fish and chip shop in Essex on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old footballer, originally from Leytonstone, East London, recently ate at Barney’s Seafood in Waltham Abbey.

He cheerfully posed for a photo with the staff, putting his arms around them in front of the small shop that sells jellied eels and other seafood.

David dressed casually for the outing and wore a white T-shirt and jeans with a knitted beanie hat.

The athlete is famous for enjoying jellied eels and frequently goes back to his hometown to eat at Tony’s Pie & Mash shop.

For the first time since the family disagreement, Cruz reached out to his brother Brooklyn in an attempt to reconcile.

Twenty-year-old Cruz Beckham posted a series of photos of his 26-year-old brother Brooklyn, marking the first time he’s shared images of him publicly since a family dispute became known.

Senator Cruz shared the Billy Joel song “The River of Dreams” with a post, and its lyrics about losing ‘something sacred’ seemed to connect with the message.

The song expresses a feeling of loss and a desperate search for something essential that’s been taken away. The singer feels incomplete and hopes they don’t spend their whole life trying to find what’s missing.

The post comes after Daily Mail reported Brooklyn still has the ‘brotherhood’ tattoo.

Romeo, age 23, and Cruz famously got the same tattoo in 2023. Even though the chef has distanced himself from his family, the tattoo was still visible when he was out and about on Tuesday.

Brooklyn still has the tattoo of a ballerina on his leg, which he got to remember his sister Harper, who is 14. However, he’s had the tattoo of the word ‘dad’ covered up.

On January 19th, Brooklyn shared a lengthy and critical message on Instagram, stating he doesn’t intend to make amends with his family.

He blamed his mother, Victoria, 51, for problems with his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz, 31, and criticized his father, David, 50, for prioritizing his public image and business deals over everything else.

I noticed something really telling on Cruz’s latest gallery post – a photo of him with his mom, Victoria. It felt like a direct response to everything Brooklyn’s been saying, a way of showing they’re a united front. It was clear he was showing support for his mother and standing by her side.

Marc Anthony publicly responded to comments made by his family member, Brooklyn, on Monday, stating that the public portrayal of their disagreement ‘isn’t accurate at all’.

The 57-year-old Latin singer publicly commented three weeks after his son, Brooklyn, announced his separation from his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

Brooklyn claimed his mother, Victoria, interrupted his first dance with Nicola. He explained that while Marc was performing at the reception, ‘he called me to the stage,’ and that’s when his mother stepped in.

He alleged that his mother behaved very inappropriately towards him in public, dancing on him in front of others. He stated this was the most uncomfortable and humiliating experience of his life.

Marc, a longtime friend of David and Victoria, commented on their public disagreement, calling it ‘very sad’ and suggesting that much of what’s been reported isn’t accurate.

‘I have nothing to say about what’s happening with the family. They’re a wonderful, wonderful family. I’ve known them since before the kids were born. I’m godfather to Cruz,’ the singer explained.

‘I’m really close to the family,’ he added to in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

I don’t have any comment on what occurred. It’s regrettable how things are unfolding, but the current narrative isn’t accurate.

Brooklyn shared on Instagram that he felt his parents were attempting to sabotage his relationship with Nicola and had been controlling him throughout his life.

Marc unexpectedly pulled Brooklyn and then Victoria onto the dance floor during the wedding, disrupting a special moment Brooklyn and Nicola had planned for themselves.

According to reports, the singer unexpectedly invited Posh Spice – not the bride, Nicola – to join him, which shocked everyone at the event.

Nicola was heartbroken watching Marc’s three-minute dance to a love song on stage and rushed away, crying.

According to DJ Fat Tony, who played at the wedding, Nicola’s family confronted her, and Brooklyn appeared embarrassed before going to look for his new wife following an uncomfortable dance.

Prior to Marc addressing the accusations, Fat Tony, the DJ at Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding, pointed the finger at the Latin singer.

A close friend of the Beckhams, Tony, shared that Marc had asked Victoria to dance with their son, and then told the boy, ‘Put your hands on your mother’s hips.’

He clarified that the performance didn’t involve any overtly sexual or flashy elements, like revealing outfits or a pop-group style spectacle. He explained that he’d used the word “inappropriate” because of the timing of events – that’s what had led him to say it.

The DJ told the Daily Mail that Brooklyn once put his hands around his mother’s waist, and she wrapped her arms around his neck.

He explained that the timing felt wrong, as it should have been a special moment for the couple. Everything happened quickly – Brooklyn left immediately after their dance, and Nicola went to another room, with him following soon after.

Oh my gosh, it’s just heartbreaking! I heard him talking about Brooklyn, and he’s actually friends with her! He said the whole thing is just awful, how everything has blown up for everyone to see. He just doesn’t understand how it all started, you know? He was saying families have their issues, and sometimes things just slip out, especially when everyone’s watching.
