David Beckham shared a sweet old photo of himself with all three of his sons, seemingly as a way to connect with his son Brooklyn during a difficult family disagreement.
With Christmas approaching, the Beckhams are said to be especially missing their son Brooklyn, with whom they are currently not close.
People close to David and Victoria Beckham say their son’s distance is proving difficult, especially since he couldn’t be there to see his father receive his knighthood last month or celebrate Inter Miami’s championship win.
In a potential sign of reconciliation, David seemed to extend an invitation for connection to Brooklyn by posting an old photo of them with their sons on social media.
On Wednesday evening, David posted on Instagram celebrating his recent MLS championship win in Miami with Victoria, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. He also shared an older photo from 2011 and 2012, showing himself with Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz after winning the same trophy while playing for the LA Galaxy.
As a lifestyle expert, I always say it’s okay to embrace those heartfelt moments! That’s exactly what David Beckham did, sharing a beautiful collage of family memories. It was a particularly special time for him, celebrating not just family, but also making history as the first person to win the MLS Cup both as a player and as an owner – a truly incredible achievement worth celebrating with loved ones!

David’s recent post seemed like an attempt to make peace, following reports that he and Victoria want to reconnect.
David and Victoria Beckham haven’t seen their son Brooklyn for a while. He’s been living in the United States with his wife, Nicola Peltz, and staying with her family, while the rest of the Beckhams – including their other sons Romeo and Cruz, and daughter Harper – are back home in the UK.
Things reached a breaking point in May when David and Nicola Beckham skipped his father’s 50th birthday party. Shortly after, his sons Cruz and Romeo unfollowed him on Instagram. Then, the couple renewed their wedding vows without including or even telling any of David’s family.
People who follow the Beckhams noticed something interesting last week: Victoria’s mother, Jackie, posted a photo of a stocking with Brooklyn’s name on it, hinting that he’s returning home for Christmas.
Victoria posted a video on Instagram showing off her mother’s beautiful holiday decorations, which were carefully arranged on the stone fireplace in her living room.
As a lifestyle expert, I always notice the little details that make a house a home, and in this family’s space, it’s incredibly sweet! Above the fireplace, you can see matching red Christmas stockings hung for all the kids – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper, and all their cousins too. It’s a lovely, cozy tradition and really emphasizes family togetherness.
Victoria’s sister, Louise, has four children – Liberty, Tallulah, Finlay, and Quincy – with her former husband, Darren Flood.
Captioning the video, the former Spice Girl wrote: ‘So many grandchildren!’

People close to the Beckhams say Jackie, and David’s mother Sandra, are deeply upset by the current distance between them, particularly because they used to be very close.
A source told The Sun that while the family doesn’t typically display all the Christmas stockings, they did this year as a way to show how much they’re thinking of Brooklyn and how much they miss her.
It’s wonderful that he has a loving family, and whatever issues are happening between him and Nicola’s family don’t reflect on the Beckhams themselves.
They want him to know he’s always welcome and the door is open whenever he wants to visit. They really hope Brooklyn can join them for Christmas, so they can move past any previous issues and start the new year with a clean slate.
As for Nicola, they’ve given up on trying to repair their relationship with her. It seems unlikely she’ll change her mind, so they’re now focusing their attention on Brooklyn.
In addition to David receiving his knighthood and his football team’s win, both he and Victoria missed a family celebration in October for the launch of Victoria’s Netflix documentary.

The fashion designer celebrated the London premiere with her closest friends and family. Meanwhile, Brooklyn and his wife were attending an event thousands of miles away in Beverly Hills.
Even though they’re not close, his grandmother still wants to stay in touch with Brooklyn and recently left a comment on one of his cooking videos.
Brooklyn, known for sometimes getting mixed reactions to their cooking, received widespread approval in October after successfully making a beef wellington that looked fantastic.
Jackie, Brooklyn’s grandmother, shared a heartwarming message, writing, ‘That looks amazing Brooklyn. Lots of love.’ Her comment really stood out as a sweet expression of pride.
