Dave Hughes’ Push-Up Fail: Puppy Chaos Takes Over Workout!

Funnyman Dave Hughes has revealed the extreme lengths he goes to in order to keep in shape.

On Thursday, Dave, aged 54, posted a video on Instagram where he could be seen making an effort to break a sweat by doing push-ups in a park.

Indeed, my workout routine took on an entirely new dimension with the addition of my new furry friend, Ginger. She added a delightful yet challenging twist to my daily regimen.

In my fervor to embark on my workout, a playful canine burst onto the scene, seemingly eager for her moment in the limelight.

Delighted by the camera, Ginger didn’t stop there; instead, she leaped onto Dave’s back and gently nibbled on the back of his neck, playing around.

Dave continued with his exercise routine, however, he eventually stopped when it became clear that nothing he did would soothe Ginger.

After appearing slightly irritated, the comedian fiddled with his phone, only for a curious ginger cat to sniff closely at the comedian’s backside (Dave’s).

Dave shared, “It’s tougher to enjoy Crowded House tunes and workout with push-ups now that we have our new furry friend, Ginger.

Doubling down on the sentiment, he revealed the destruction Ginger left in her wake.

‘She chews my watch, my glasses, my phone and my head,’  Dave added in the caption.

The clip was met with a flurry of comments from fans, with many gushing over the puppy’s cuteness.

Oh my goodness, I can’t help but squeal with delight! Absolutely nothing compares to this adorable charm!

Another fan and I seem to share the same sentiments. Here’s what they said: “Gosh, simply enchanting!” or “What a stunning redhead! Simply flawless.

Another was quick to point out Ginger’s innate sense of comic timing with

‘Hahahaha. Ohh it’s love. And the bum sniff clenches it. Hahahaha.,’ they wrote.

Dave recently made headline for reignited his long-running feud with shock jock Kyle Sandilands.

Earlier this month, the comedian faced Kyle directly during a live broadcast following comments that seemed to indicate he held no empathy towards Kyle upon learning about his brain aneurysm diagnosis.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson told Dave his recent comments about Kyle seemed ‘out of character’.

Dave said he wasn’t even referring to Kyle’s diagnosis when he made the comment.

‘This is fake news. It’s misinformation,’ he said.

‘I wasn’t asked about Kyle’s health. Look, I just got out of the [I’m A Celebrity] jungle.

It seemed that I didn’t know which person was in good or poor health, so it turns out I wasn’t aware of your brain aneurysm, Kyle.

The question posed to me was about the ratings in various cities and whether there’s any compassion towards your group specifically in Melbourne. That was the query I had to address.

Kyle expressed doubt as to whether the blunt remarks were genuinely from the comedian.

‘That’s why I didn’t reply, because I thought, “S***, is this even Hughesy?”

In the comfort of my abode, I found myself wrapped in bandages and dealing with profuse eye bleeding, a state that had me grappling with the specter of mortality. In this moment of despair, I was compelled to cast my vote for you amidst the wilderness of options, all the while heavy-hearted.

Dave added it was actually his wife Holly that clued him in to Kyle’s diagnosis.

Through a series of texts, she shared, “By the way, he has some issues with his brain, haven’t you noticed?” To which I responded, “I was unaware of any such concerns regarding his mental health.

It’s clear that I wouldn’t take a harsh approach. After all, health comes first. We both understand that the chatter on the radio isn’t significant compared to our well-being. I just want to ensure your mind is in good shape as well.

Dave’s words appeared to placate Kyle who offered a ‘Thanks you, mate’ in response.

It appears that the two combatants have laid down their arms… for now.
