Dave Grohl recalls referring to Jordyn Blum as his ‘future ex-wife’ when they first met years before revealing secret love child

As a dedicated follower of rock music and the lives of its iconic figures, I have to say that Dave Grohl’s story is both intriguing and heartbreaking at the same time. His journey from the tragic demise of Nirvana to founding Foo Fighters and his personal life experiences are nothing short of captivating.

Dave Grohl referred to his spouse Jordyn Blum as his ‘future ex-wife’ when they first met.

In an interview with Q magazine, published on Tuesday by Us Weekly, the 55-year-old musician confessed to infidelity towards his partner, a 48-year-old woman, and fathering a child in secret. He reminisced about their first encounter back in 2001.

On a night in West Hollywood, California, the lead singer of Foo Fighters revealed that he had been spending time with his departed bandmate, Taylor Hawkins, at the Sunset Marquis’s whiskey bar.

‘Taylor was the looker. I mean, girls would send him drinks,’ Grohl told the magazine in 2007.

In a casual conversation, Taylor encounters an unexpected individual. Earlier, I had been in a rehearsal with Tenacious D. At the moment, I was wearing Vans sneakers without socks, sporting grungy shorts and a soiled T-shirt, amidst the glamour of Hollywood.

Grohl explained that Blum was a friend of the girl, who invited her to join them.

Originally, he exclaimed something like, “Wow, no way! Not a chance!” After some drinks, he behaved rather recklessly. By the end of the night, he was enraged and looking at her, saying, “You’re my future divorced wife,” he admitted. She then provided him with her number: “Jordyn, your future ex-wife.

Grohl mentioned that they crossed paths on a few occasions, but he decided against continuing when he recognized it as ‘the goal, the final stretch’.

Blum and Grohl rekindled their romance and got married in 2003.

In an unfortunate turn of events that occurred last March, I, as a lifestyle expert, regretfully share that Leonardo Hawkins passed away at the young age of 50 during a cardiac incident, stemming from a prolonged use of drugs, while the band was touring in Colombia.

Grohl revealed on Tuesday on Instagram that he had a secret love child.

‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,’ he wrote.

Grohl and Blum have daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, together.

Back in 1994, I embarked on a musical journey with the band known as Foo Fighters, a project I started myself following the disbandment of Nirvana, where I had previously been a key member. Seattle was the birthplace of this new venture for me.

Hawkins joined the band in 1997 as drummer and shared vocals with Grohl.

Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain died of suicide at age 27 in April 1994.
