Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum make major public move amid fractured marriage after love child scandal

This week, Dave Grohl and his spouse, Jordyn Blum, took a significant step in the public eye as they navigate through challenges within their marriage, following the birth of a child by Grohl nine months ago, outside their relationship.

56-year-old lead singer of Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl, became a father to a baby girl with Jennifer Young, a 38-year-old rock enthusiast based in Los Angeles, who hails from Florida, in August. His new role as a parent prompted him to publicly apologize for his infidelity a month later.

After they started working on their relationship, Grohl and Blum provided a strong indication that things were going well when they were spotted having a family meal together to celebrate her 49th birthday, along with their three daughters.

This marked the first time the family had been seen together after his affair bombshell.

After the event, Grohl and Blum appeared content and at ease while conversing, with their daughters nearby. Notably, neither of them wore their wedding rings.

Following their public appearance together in March, a source informed US Weekly that the couple have decided to rekindle their 22-year-old marriage.

Jordyn has pardoned Dave and is making an effort to proceed. Despite being deeply affected by the circumstances, she remains by his side.

They’re both attending counseling, and Dave is making every effort to regain Jordyn’s trust. Neither of them wishes for their family unit to be torn apart.

In February the mother of Dave’s lovechild was finally revealed.

Young was confirmed to be the mother of his child he fathered out of wedlock, Page Six reported.  

Jennifer additionally verified to the media source that her child was delivered on August 1, 2024, and furthermore mentioned that Dave’s surname appears on the birth certificate.

Jennifer opted against sharing her daughter’s name, explaining to the media, “There are some very upset fans,” and emphasizing the importance of maintaining her privacy.

As a devoted family member, I reside with my mom in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, and we frequently take our little one on strolls around our local community.

Jennifer showcases several tattoos, some of which depict lyrics from Paul McCartney’s songs and the emblem of the heavy metal group Metallica.

It’s said that she went to New York City during Valentine’s weekend, which happened to be the same time Dave was there for the 50th anniversary special of Saturday Night Live. Nonetheless, according to Page Six, it remains uncertain whether they crossed paths.

It is also unclear how they first met. 

Page Six mentioned that there’s no publicly accessible social media profile for her, and the details about her present job are undisclosed as well.

In the past, she has tried her hand at writing and was even part of the team that created the Cannibal comic book series. According to the League Of Comic Geeks, she is recognized as one of the writers for this series.

Young also attended UCLA and received her Master’s degree in the university’s Producers Program.

In an interview with Voyage LA back in 2021, she shared her deep-seated love for narrating tales.

She mentioned earlier that she had written a comic book which was published by Image Comics, and it’s now being developed into a TV pilot. She also shared her passion for the horror genre during this conversation.

Eventually, Jennifer took up a role as an assistant to the showrunner on Eli Roth’s History of Horror series, broadcasted by AMC from 2018-2021. Later in her career with this project, she was advanced to the position of associate producer.

She enthusiastically expressed that no other project in her life has brought her as much joy as the one she recently worked on, and luckily for her, she got the opportunity to work on another season of the same show.

Jennifer additionally shared that she helps directors and producers with the creation and execution of movie and TV projects.

Apart from that, she takes pleasure in creating brief movies and composing her personal screenplays, which she intends to direct. Her goal is that this experience of observing will prepare her for the role she aspires to.

According to an inside source at People magazine, things have been quite challenging for Jordyn in October 2024.

I mentioned that her thoughts aren’t centered on her marriage, and here’s why: she doesn’t have faith in Dave. It’s also worth noting that she isn’t sporting her wedding ring at the moment.

Adding that Jordyn is ‘focused on her own life and her girls.’ 

In November 2024, a source revealed to People magazine that the musician has been putting effort into reconciling with his partner and their children, and that the possibility of divorce has been ruled out.

According to the source, he is no longer collaborating with a divorce lawyer. Instead, he aims to resolve issues with his spouse amicably.

A source close to him mentioned that he deeply cherishes his family, pointing out that he has been placing a high importance on them. He acknowledges his mistake. It seems to be one of those instances where you don’t truly understand the impact of your actions until the prospect of losing something precious arises. He is determined not to let go of his family.

It’s been reported by several reliable sources that Jordyn was aware of the baby for some time, and they praise her as an exceptional mother who is deeply committed to their daughters.

Jordyn and Dave shared daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

In February, it was observed that Dave and Jordyn appeared together publicly for the initial time following the surprising revelations about his infidelity and paternity claims.

In the car together was where they were spotted, following Jordyn’s pick-up of him from a house in the Los Angeles area. Neither seemed to have wedding rings on during that moment.
