Dauntless, the Free-to-Play Monster Hunting Game, Set to End Service in Late May
As a passionate fan, I’m sharing the news that Phoenix Labs has announced the closure of Dauntless, their popular free-to-play monster hunting game launched in 2019. Sadly, they’ve also shared that there won’t be any additional updates for the game moving forward, and it will officially shut down this May.
A significant announcement has been made: the game Dauntless will cease operation on May 29, 2025. This means that further content or updates for the game will not be released, and starting from that date at 11:45 PM PST, it will no longer be possible to play Dauntless.
It seems the anticipated ‘Umbral Reign’ update for the game was supposed to launch in January but has now been postponed, and instead, Dauntless will officially conclude on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 29th.
