As a seasoned veteran of the Dauntless battlefield, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming “Awakening” update! The prospect of cross-platform progression and a new Behemoth, Karkonos, has me itching to sharpen my Silver Sword and don the Golden Claws once more.
The action RPG monster-hunting game titled “Dauntless,” which was released in 2019, is set to receive its most significant update yet next week. Dubbed as “Dauntless: Awakening,” this update will introduce cross-platform progression, a new monster called ‘Karkonos,’ new weaponry, and the first season of gameplay in a brand-new phase for the title.
18 fresh weapons are scheduled to arrive in the next update. Seven of these can be unlocked through early quests (including the Silver Sword and Golden Claws), while the remaining eleven can be obtained by completing weekly tasks, which reward Weapon Tokens. You can also acquire these tokens through the free and premium tiers of the new Hunt Pass.
Every weapon possesses a distinct skillset and can be enhanced up to level 60, offering twenty-five different Talents. Additionally, you’ll engage in combat with Karkonos within the Twilight’s Domain hunting ground. Defeating it rewards components for crafting the Brineguard Armour Set. The initial season is about to commence, while future seasons are currently being developed.
Dauntless: Awakening is set to launch on 5th December for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and personal computers.
