Date Everything! Launches for Xbox Series X|S on Valentine’s Day 2025
As a seasoned gamer with a hearty dose of cynicism and an insatiable appetite for unique gaming experiences, I must say that the announcement of Date Everything! has me intrigued, to say the least. The concept of dating ordinary objects might seem like a stretch, but who am I to judge? I’ve dated virtual characters before, so why not a laundry basket or the air itself?
Team17 and Los Angeles-based studio Sassy Chap Games have revealed that their quirky, upcoming dating sim titled “Date Everything!“, where you can date a wide variety of items including laundry baskets and the air itself, will be released on Valentine’s Day next year.
Discover a world where everyday items harbor romantic possibilities! With your ‘Dateviator’ spectacles, interact with any object you fancy, unveiling distinct characters and unexpected results through engaging conversations.
In simpler terms, the production coming from the Date Everything! studio, established by skilled voice actors, boasts an impressive ensemble of a thousand completely vocalized characters. Each character’s journey offers branching dialogues that result in numerous conclusions. Moreover, the music component spans over four hours, with each character receiving their unique theme tune.
In this game, you’ll find over 11,000 unique hand-drawn images, an expansive 3D world to navigate, and a massive script containing approximately 1.5 million words, with around 70,000 lines of dialogue delivered by talented actors such as Felicia Day (Supernatural, The Magicians), Laura Bailey (Critical Role, The Last of Us), Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI), and many more.
The game “Date Everything!” is set to release for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Valentine’s Day, 2025.
