Kadokawa Corporation has announced that the Japanese version of their action RPG titled “Date A Live Spirit Crisis” will cease operation on February 28, 2025. This game is based on the popular anime series, Date A Live. It’s important to note that the global and HD version of this game, known as “Date A Live: Spirit Pledge HD,” was discontinued on May 20, 2023.

For those who may not know, the video game titled “Date A Live Spirit Crisis” is a side-scrolling action role-playing game that originates from the Date A Live light novel and anime series. The game offers rapid-fire side-scrolling battles with spectacular skill effects, enabling you to alternate between three characters during fights, each possessing unique abilities. It’s an enjoyable game featuring Live2D spirits, thrilling confrontations, and a roster of beloved characters that have won over many fans.

Sadly, it’s been announced that the support for Date A Live Spirit Crisis game will come to an end on February 28, 2025. The team has promised to keep running the service with full dedication till then, as they said, “we will strive to run the service with all our heart right up until the final moments.

You will be able to utilize previously purchased Passes and apply for a refund on paid Diamonds

The game no longer allows for character creation or purchase of new content; instead, it receives regular updates. You can continue playing it until its service is discontinued, and any previously bought items like passes (including Monthly Passes) will stay usable up until the termination date.

One positive development is on the horizon, as the game now offers a special feature called the Spirit Summon Gacha. This exciting new addition includes all limited characters and exclusive items for your enjoyment. To sweeten the deal even further, free Gacha resources and multiple training items will be sent to every player via in-game mail until the service concludes. Enjoy these perks while they last!

If you find yourself with leftover purchased diamonds, you can initiate a refund by filling out the In-game Refund Request Form. Keep in mind that this request must be submitted before April 30, 2025. Be sure not to delete the app until the refund process is finalized. After this date, both the game and its availability on the Google Play Store and App Store will cease.

Given that both the Global and HD editions have already been closed down, this wasn’t entirely unexpected. Fans had praised the game for its promising potential, but it also came with certain challenges. It’s certainly unfortunate to witness another game being discontinued so soon in the year.
