Darth Revan Makes First-Ever Star Wars Disney+ Appearance

A major moment for Star Wars fans just happened! Darth Revan, a hugely popular character from the Old Republic stories, made his first-ever appearance in a live-action Star Wars TV series. The reveal came in a trailer for the new Disney+ show, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, where he was shown alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Darth Revan recently appeared in Episode 2 of the LEGO Star Wars series, *Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past*. While his appearance was short, it was a big deal for fans who have wanted to see Revan in a Star Wars show or movie ever since he was introduced in the 2003 video game, *Knights of the Old Republic*.

In the second episode, Sig Greebling, his brother Dev, Ahsoka Tano, Servo, Viper, and Jaxxon team up to sneak into the fortress of Solitus-the series’ main villain, who fights with a purple lightsaber.

Inside the fortress, the group encounters a sinister version of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the powerful Darth Revan. Interestingly, Revan remains completely silent throughout the encounter-a running gag in the show-but still makes his presence known through impressive lightsaber combat.

When Obi-Wan unexpectedly activated a red lightsaber, Revan responded by drawing his own two blades – one red and one purple. This matches Revan’s portrayal in the older “Legends” stories. He originally used a purple lightsaber as a Jedi, and even after falling to the dark side and creating a red one, he continued to wield both.

Revan wielding two lightsabers symbolized the battle within himself, a conflict that resolved when he returned to the light. It also showed how he embodied both the light and dark sides of the Force.

Despite being represented as a LEGO figure in *Pieces of the Past*, Revan’s appearance closely matches his established design from the Legends continuity. He’s clearly wearing his Mandalorian helmet, and the colors and patterns of his armor are almost exactly the same as his iconic look.

At Solitus’ fortress, Revan and Obi-Wan clashed with the heroes. Ahsoka and Dev engaged them with lightsabers, but with assistance from Sig, Chewbacca, Jaxxon, and a few others, Revan and Obi-Wan were buried under debris, giving the heroes a chance to flee.

This is the only time Revan shows up in any of the LEGO Star Wars games, but it’s great to see him included at all, which is exciting news for Star Wars and Darth Revan enthusiasts.

All four episodes of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past is streaming on Disney+.

Will Darth Revan Return to Star Wars Television?

The possibility of Darth Revan becoming a significant character in the official Star Wars story is still being explored. While he’s technically already part of the current storyline – referenced in *The Rise of Skywalker* by a Sith group on Exegol, and through the appearance of the Revan Legion in the same film – his role could be expanded.

Revan hasn’t appeared in any Star Wars movies or shows until now, which is a big deal. However, this new appearance isn’t officially part of the established Star Wars story.

Although this character isn’t officially part of the established Star Wars story yet, his inclusion suggests the creators are considering bringing him into the narrative in the future. The Old Republic is a beloved period in Star Wars history, and with a new film set even earlier in that timeline currently being developed, it would be surprising if Lucasfilm didn’t further explore this era with a Disney+ series or movies.

I know a lot of Star Wars shows and movies are already in the works, so a project set during the Old Republic era might still be a ways off. But honestly, with how popular that era is, and with Revan being mentioned and even appearing on screen now, I really believe it’s only a matter of time before we see him – and that whole period – make a big comeback. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
