Frank Grillo’s “dark and gritty” drama has landed a new streaming home in the UK.
In this rephrased version, the character Kingdon stars as Alvey Kulina, who co-manages a struggling mixed martial arts training facility with his partner Lisa Prince. The setting is a gym they both run together.
After retiring from mixed martial arts, Alvey now focuses on mentoring other MMA fighters, including his sons Nate and Jay. Yet, the family is embroiled in conflicts due to Nate’s secret sexual orientation and Jay’s struggles with substance abuse.

As events unfold, Lisa’s past comes back into focus when her ex-boyfriend, a successful former MMA champion named Ryan Wheeler, makes an appearance. It remains to be seen whether his return will help or further complicate the struggling business.
2014’s “Kingdom” television show spanned over three seasons and first appeared on American screens. It wasn’t until 2016 that it became available in the UK. Now, British fans can enjoy streaming “Kingdom” directly on Amazon Prime Video.

Although seasons one and three can be streamed for free, unfortunately, season two isn’t available for Prime members. You’ll need to make a separate purchase to watch it.
The show, often lauded as “edgy and raw”, has been highly appreciated by viewers for its stellar ensemble cast. This includes Kiele Sanchez from Lost (playing Lisa), Jonathan Tucker from Snowfall (as Jay), Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers (portraying Nate), and Matt Lauria, a star from CSI: Vegas (in the role of Ryan).

This show features intricately crafted characters, and combined with exceptional performances, it creates a compelling, drama that feels grounded in reality, devoid of tired tropes often found in soap operas.
“This show is beyond an addicting binge watch,” said another. “It’s simply a masterpiece.”
As a gaming enthusiast, let me tell you this: A third chimed in, praising the acting as top-notch and the overall production as unmatched. It’s like they’ve crafted a show that’s unlike anything else out there. This show is raw energy, polished to perfection, and it packs quite a punch. It’s so immersive, it feels like it leaps off the screen, offering a thrilling dose of adrenaline-fueled entertainment.
Kingdom is available to watch on Prime Video in the UK.
