Daredevil: Born Again Seasons 3 & 4 Will Happen Under 1 Condition (Report)

It’s possible that “Daredevil: Born Again” might come back for Seasons 3 and 4, under one crucial condition. Following three seasons of “Daredevil” on Netflix, “Born Again” was initially announced for Disney+ with a plan for an 18-episode season to reprise Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. As production began, the 2023 Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strikes occurred, causing a creative revamp that also resulted in “Born Again” being divided into two seasons.

The first season of Born Again debuted on Disney+ earlier this year, garnering positive feedback from critics and fans, although the viewership was slightly lower than expected. In March, we can expect the show to return for its second season, which has already been produced, but beyond that, a clear future remains unclear. Nonetheless, Marvel Studios has expressed their aspirations to keep Disney+ shows running on an annual basis for multiple seasons.

In a recent update, Nexus Point News discussed the potential future of the Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again,” suggesting that it will likely continue into at least Season 3, contingent upon the response to Season 2, slated for release in Spring 2026. Essentially, the continuation of the show beyond Season 2 is dependent on how well Season 2 performs.

Despite uncertainty about the future of “Born Again”, Marvel Studios is reportedly gearing up for a renewal, aiming to begin filming Season 3 as early as March 2026 and continue through the summer months. This production schedule mirrors that of Season 2, which was produced from March to August this year.

Initially, both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio agreed to star in the show for just three seasons. However, their contracts might be extended and renegotiated based on how well our beloved series performs and its overall standing.

The latest news aligns with Cox’s remarks about Born Again‘s Season 2 being the “concluding season,” but D’Onofrio has since expressed optimism, suggesting that there might indeed be a third installment.

In future updates, the actor playing Kingpin hinted that it’s still uncertain if a third installment will happen, but expressed that it seems “quite probable.” This sentiment appears to be shared by both him and Cox.

The actor portraying Kingpin suggested in later communications that it remains to be seen whether the third appearance is imminent, yet he indicated that it’s “very likely” to occur, a viewpoint that seems to be consistent with Cox’s perspective.

Among the significant characters in Cox and D’Onofrio’s “Daredevil,” Seasons 1 and 2 of “Born Again” also introduced Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye. Additionally, a prominent Netflix character reappeared in Season 2.

Daredevil’s MCU Future Looks Brighter Than Ever

If Daredevil: Born Again is revived for a third season, it would become the first live-action series produced by Marvel Studios to have three seasons, as Loki is the only other show in their lineup that has been renewed for a second.

It appears that, according to rumors, Marvel Studios might be readying a new season’s production as early as March, even before the current season has fully aired on Disney+. The feedback being discussed here seems more inclined towards internal assessments within Marvel Studios and Disney+, rather than online fan reactions.

If production starts in March as it did this year, Marvel Studios could potentially keep up with their annual release schedule for “Born Again” for the third consecutive year. However, should contract negotiations need to take place before a possible fourth installment, there might be a slight delay in its release.

Over time, as Disney+’s reboot persists, there’s a growing possibility that the entire Netflix Defenders team might get back together. The only characters still missing from this potential reunion are Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist.

Right now, it looks like Daredevil won’t be featured in next year’s “Spider-Man: Fresh Start” and “Avengers: Endgame.” But if Charlie Cox continues to play his role for a longer period, we can’t completely dismiss the possibility of him appearing in “Spider-Man 5” or future installments of “The Avengers.
