Good news for fans of the popular Marvel series on Disney+: Season 2 will now premiere on March 24th. The release date was originally set for March 4th, but has been delayed.
The initial release date appeared on a promotional image for Daredevil: Born Again that was briefly available on Disney’s press website. Disney took the image down, but the date it showed has been widely considered the show’s release date ever since.
Marvel surprised fans on Tuesday by releasing the first trailer for their upcoming series, Wonder Man, which will stream on Disney+. The trailer gave a sneak peek at what viewers can expect and featured a quick shot of Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) in what appeared to be a past scene. It also showed a brief look at a redesigned costume for Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox).
Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again will pick up the story after the dramatic events of Season 1, where Daredevil started fighting against Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and his oppressive control over New York City. Jessica Jones is expected to help him in this fight. There have been changes to the series following recent developments.
According to Marvel TV and animation head Brad Winderbaum, the core of the story revolves around power dynamics. When Wilson Fisk essentially becomes a king of New York – not just its mayor – he rises to a new level of global influence. Matthew Lillard’s character embodies this kind of power, making him a significant new villain who rivals Fisk in impact. The story explores these high-stakes power plays within politics and international relations, and how this character is caught between dealing with both Mr. Charles and Daredevil, creating pressure from multiple sides.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Comes a Little Later Than Expected
The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is delayed slightly, but will still be released in March – just about two months from now.
Dario Scardapane is in charge of the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are directing the majority of the episodes. The season will feature returning favorites like Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Tony Dalton. Plus, Krysten Ritter is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Matthew Lillard is joining the MCU for the first time.
I’m so excited! The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is coming to Disney+ on March 24th. And if you haven’t already, you can watch the first season of Daredevil: Born Again and all three seasons of the original Marvel’s Daredevil series on Disney+ right now.
