Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Officially Brings Back a Major ‘Hawkeye’ Character

As a huge Marvel fan, I was really excited to hear that a character from Hawkeye will be showing up in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ in 2026! One of the coolest things about the first season of the Daredevil revival was how connected it was to the larger MCU. It turns out that connection was real, because Tony Dalton is returning as Jacques Duquesne, a.k.a. the Swordsman, who we first saw in Hawkeye. It’s great to see characters crossing over like this!

Okay, so I was really worried about Dalton’s character after seeing him get grabbed by Mayor Kingpin – that guy is seriously intimidating! It happened at one of Kingpin’s fancy fundraising events in New York, and I thought that was it. But, awesome news! I just heard he’s going to be back for more action in Season 2 of Born Again! I’m so excited to see what happens next with him.

Alan Alda, known for his role in Hawkeye, has confirmed he’ll be appearing in the second season of Daredevil. In an interview with Comicbook.com, he simply stated, “Yeah,” and added that he filmed “a bunch of action stuff” for the new season.

I was actually just thinking about the action scenes! I did a lot of physical stunts for the upcoming ‘Daredevil’ project, and I ended up getting pretty injured. I think I might have chipped a rib – I was bedridden for two or three weeks and covered in bruises. It was tough, but the stunt team really went all out. The show is coming out soon, and I think people are going to enjoy it.

Dalton appears to be a wealthy New Yorker, but he secretly operates as a vigilante known as the Swordsman. This has made him a target for people like Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, and Fisk’s team dedicated to stopping vigilantes.

After Duquesne’s storyline concluded at the end of the first season, fans weren’t sure if he’d return to the show. Now, it’s been confirmed that he will be back.

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again will be available on Disney+ in March 2026. Charlie Cox is returning as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and he’ll be teaming up with familiar characters like Deborah Ann Woll, Jon Bernthal, and Elden Henson to fight against a new plan by Mayor Wilson Fisk to crack down on vigilantes. How Will Tony Dalton’s MCU Character Play Into Daredevil: Born Again Season 2? 

It was great to see Tony Dalton reprise his role from Hawkeye in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, though his character wasn’t central to the show’s intense plot. However, that might change in Season 2.

The second season of the show will center around a major conflict: Daredevil and his allies will be fighting against Wilson Fisk’s team dedicated to stopping vigilantes. Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, will need to gather a group of heroes to help him face off against New York City’s criminal mayor.

It’s possible that Jack Duquesne, played by Charlie Dalton, will become an ally to Daredevil. Dalton hinted at performing a lot of fight scenes, suggesting his character might team up with Daredevil to fight crime and protect the city.

Before Duquesne can confront Kingpin and his crew, he needs to break free from their capture. This escape could be filled with exciting action, and it might be what the actor was hinting at in recent interviews. Hopefully, Duquesne will escape and viewers will get to see him fight with his sword again on screen.
