Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Gets New Details, Major Change Teased for Season 3

Jesse Wigutow, an executive producer on the Disney+ show *Daredevil: Born Again*, recently announced that the new seasons, starring Charlie Cox, are planned to begin streaming in March 2026.

What is the new update for Daredevil: Born Again’s upcoming seasons?

In a recent Collider interview, Daredevil: Born Again director Sam Esmail Wigutow shared some updates about Season 2. He hinted at a larger, more ambitious storyline for Daredevil and his enemy, Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, promising increased tension and more elaborate action scenes all building towards a dramatic showdown between Matthew Murdock and Fisk.

As a fan, I’m so excited about the scope of this season! We’re really diving into a huge New York City story, with all the crime and political maneuvering you’d expect, especially surrounding Mayor Fisk and the drama within City Hall. Honestly, it’s been amazing to watch unfold. What really stands out to me, and what the team seems to be focusing on as they start Season 3, is that while the story expanded in so many directions, it all came down to the core relationship between two characters. They’ve stripped away everything else to put these two face-to-face, and I think the finale is going to be incredibly satisfying because it’s all about their intense conflict, their mutual hatred, and how much they actually need each other.

Wigutow has hinted at big changes coming in Season 3. They’re starting the writers’ room soon and hope to begin production in the spring.

He confirmed they’re taking the show in a new direction, moving away from the storylines established in the first two seasons. They haven’t begun writing the new season yet, but the writing team will be meeting again within the next couple of weeks. If everything stays on track, production should begin around springtime, similar to when they started filming Season 2.

The upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again will be led by showrunner Dario Scardapane, with Kevin Feige and several others also serving as executive producers. The cast includes Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Punisher, and returning favorites like Ayelet Zurer, Deborah Ann Woll, and Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. New cast members Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor will join the series alongside Genneya Walton, Nikki M. James, Clark Johnson, and Michael Gandolfini.
