Danny Jones’ Kiss Sparks McFly Tour Controversy: Will It Affect Their Wholesome Image?

The spotlight has fallen on Danny Jones following the emergence of videos that seemingly depict him kissing Maura Higgins during the BRIT Awards.

38-year-old vocalist of McFly hasn’t spoken much about the recent event, whereas his wife, Georgia Horsley, has noticeably avoided discussing it in her parenting podcast.

However, brand and cultural specialist Nick Ede warned TopMob that the aftermath might overpower McFly’s upcoming tour with Busted, and it could possibly tarnish their clean-cut reputation.

In the time since the news emerged, Danny’s fellow band members Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, and Harry Judd have refrained from posting anything pertaining to the band on their social media platforms, maintaining a conspicuous silence.

Harry and Tom share the responsibility of raising three children apiece, whereas Danny is a parent to just one. Backstage during their tours, their kids socialize together quite often, giving the atmosphere a familial feel that Danny had mentioned earlier.

In conversation with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on their Parenting Hell podcast, Danny mentioned: ‘If it’s a special event and we’re performing in London, our son may join us for the night. But usually, he spends time with his friends during school hours.’

As a devoted admirer, I’m excited to share that, similar to the events of the Brit Awards earlier this month, I found myself sharing a sweet kiss with a Love Island star, aged 34, who also graced our screens on I’m A Celebrity last year.

However, the occurrence precedes the eagerly awaited Busted versus McFly tour, set to commence towards the end of this year.

According to brand specialist Nick, Danny is likely hoping that the controversy has subsided by the start of the tour. However, he noted that the silence on social media from Danny’s bandmates might suggest an attempt to distance themselves from any potential involvement in the situation.

As a dedicated follower, I’m reflecting on Nick’s insights about how Danny Jones’ recent kiss with Maura Higgins might influence the Busted McFly tour. Currently, the news seems to cast a shadow over our tour momentum, but since we kick off in September, we are crossing our fingers that this buzz will have subsided by then.

It’s unfortunate that Danny Jones finds himself making headlines for negative reasons, as this probably isn’t what he desired for his personal image, the band’s reputation, or his family’s well-being.

‘He’s kept quiet and is riding the storm for what’s obviously a very personal issue.’

Nick stated about Danny’s fellow musicians, “They likely prefer to distance themselves from the controversy since they have strong family ties and clean public personas.

They’re equally conscious about being under scrutiny by the public, preferring to avoid unwanted attention or further rumors. Therefore, it would be wise for everyone involved to allow this matter to cool down without adding more fuel to the flames.

Instead, Nick stated that the fans of McFly will likely continue to attend their concerts as their tour begins.

Nick remarked, “It’s fantastic that almost every show is completely booked, and fans are coming to witness a variety of stars, not just one.

‘So the focus isn’t solely on Danny. which will be a relief for him and the other bandmates too.’

TopMob has approached representatives for McFly and Danny for comment.

After it emerged that Tom, a member of McFly band and a co-judge on The Voice, reportedly felt ‘uneasy’ following a ‘drunken kiss’.

Based on The Sun’s report, Tom apparently feels embarrassed or ashamed to find himself involved in the commotion since he was present at the award ceremony alongside Danny.

According to a source, Tom certainly isn’t a party-loving individual – in fact, he explicitly stated that the afterparty wasn’t something he was thinking about. However, Danny seemed to have other plans.

Tom was absent at the time the duo seemed to be growing closer, yet he maintains a sense of connection to the events that transpired.

He’s not acquainted with Maura, nor does he keep up with her or any other celebrities from Love Island. In fact, he doesn’t tend to socialize within those particular circles.

And fans have also been fearful for how the drama could impact the tour.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement when I imagine myself attending the McFly versus Busted concert later this year, where none other than Maura Higgins will be present!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the Busted vs McFly tour will take place despite the Danny Jones situation. I guess we’ll know by September if things settle down, but honestly, I don’t care about their personal issues – I’m only interested in their music.

When the supporters of James Bourne’s bands, Busted and McFly, decided to protest against attending the tour due to Danny Jones revealing he was involved in selling fake tickets.
