Danny Dyer is back for season 2 of Mr Bigstuff, currently trending on a UK streamer.
In this new setup, actors from “EastEnders” and “Rivals” share the screen with creator Ryan Sampson, portraying contrasting characters Lee and Glen. These on-screen brothers meet again as Glen endeavors to accumulate money for his wedding to fiancée Kirsty (played by Harriet Webb).
The acclaimed television series debuted the initial two episodes of its latest season on July 24, with subsequent episodes being released weekly leading up to the August 21 finale. At present, “Mr Bigstuff” is a popular topic on NOW, ranking fourth among the top ten most-watched content.
The show generally garnered favorable feedback from critics, who commended Dyer for his comedic talents and charm.
Audience members alike have found themselves equally charmed by the humor, as evidenced by a comment on Rotten Tomatoes that describes it as “exactly what everyone is looking for.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the talented ensemble for Mr Bigstuff includes Adrian Scarborough, who brings Ian to life, Fatiha El-Ghorri, best known from Taskmaster, shining as Aysha, and the versatile Philip Philmar, portraying Roger.
In Season 2, the characters played by Dyer and his longtime onscreen mother, Shirley (portrayed by Linda Henry), reunite in EastEnders – a reunion much anticipated by soap opera enthusiasts.
In the latest series, Henry takes on the role of mechanic Pam, joining the cast which includes Rula Lenska, a renowned actress from “Coronation Street,” and Alan Ford, known for his work in “Snatch.
In the upcoming second season of “Rivals”, Dyer will once again take on the character of businessman Freddie Jones, joining a cast that includes David Tennant, Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner, and Nafessa Williams.
