As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience under my belt, I must say, it’s always heartwarming to witness the evolution of families, especially when they grow and expand. The recent Sellebrity Soccer charity match was a testament to this, with Danny Dyer, the former EastEnders star, stepping out of his comfort zone and onto the sports pitch.

Danny Dyer appeared enthusiastic as he participated in the Sellebrity Soccer charity game, which was held at Hartley Wintney Football Club in Hampshire on Sunday.

47-year-old actor, previously known from EastEnders, didn’t hesitate as he skillfully moved the ball during his transition from the stage to a sports field.

In the current scenario, the speaker exuded an athletic presence, clad in a black sports shirt and shorts, and shielded his lower limbs using knee pads.

Completing the look with yellow trainers, Danny appeared focused as he slicked his hair back.

During the game he looked slightly sweatier than he did when he arrived as he kept it casual in navy jumper and jeans.

Established in 2012 by Darren Eadie and Kevin Cooper, Sellebrity Soccer arranges charitable fundraising events by orchestrating celebrity football games, from smaller pitches up to premier league stadia.

Danny made an appearance at the latest game following his announcement that he and his family have taken on a greater role in helping his daughter Dani with caring for her three kids, as her partner Jarrod Bowen was participating in the Euros this past summer.

The actor became a grandfather for the first time as his daughter Dani Dyer, aged 28, delivered a child named Santiago, who is three years old, together with her ex-partner Sammy Kimmence.

In the year 2023, the television personality welcomed twins Summer and Star, who were born to footballer Jarrod Bowen. Her father, along with his wife Joanne Mas (age 47), assists with babysitting these new additions to their family, in addition to being parents to Sunnie (17) and Arty (10).

He told The Sunday Times Style Magazine: ‘Jarrod’s a great dad but he’s very busy. He was away all over the summer and Dani was flying back and forth.

Balancing that task with taking care of our kids is quite challenging for us, hence we’ve decided to work together as a family. Our aim is simply to raise well-rounded individuals.

Danny, who had been in a long-term relationship with Joanne Mas before getting married in 2016, also mentioned that it’s an unusual experience to see his daughter becoming a parent.

He said: ‘It’s mad seeing your children have kids. My Dani, she’s such an amazing human being. We’ve got a special bond.

I got her when I was 18 years old, which meant I was practically just starting out in life. Over time, we both matured and experienced life together. She has witnessed my ups and downs, and she’s become one of my closest friends.

Despite initially not being enthusiastic, Danny found himself pleasantly surprised when his eldest joined the ITV2 dating program. Subsequently, they formed a dynamic presenting pair together.

Additionally, Danny pointed out that since both their daughter and her fiancé, Jarrod (aged 27), are frequently absent due to work commitments, they, Danny and Jo, often assume the responsibility of looking after the grandkids.

He admitted that while it is a lot to ‘juggle that and the children’, it is something they ‘just do’ as a family in their attempt to raise a ‘decent bunch’ of kids.

When Dani became a grandfather for the first time, she shared that her father was overcome with emotion, confessing he had never felt anything quite like it and found himself unexpectedly teary-eyed.

On the Made By Mammas podcast, she shared that her father wasn’t anticipating such an emotional experience as becoming a grandfather. Recently, he showed deep emotions, even shedding tears, when spending time with Santiago.

He exclaimed, “I adore infants generally, yet your child is exceptional. I’ve never experienced feelings quite similar to what I have for yours. I didn’t anticipate feeling this way.
