Her television career has seen her enjoy sun, sea and sand on tropical beaches around the world.

On Wednesday, despite the harsh cold, Danni Menzies braved a swim in a Scottish loch, battling its icy waters.

On social media, the host of The Place In The Sun shared a video of herself enduring cold weather while only wearing a red swimsuit.

In the clip, she said: ‘It was minus 12 here last night so this is going to be interesting.’

The star, known for her fondness for wild swimming, subsequently dips into the water and slowly makes her way deeper. Her trusty black Labrador, Mona, follows suit, swimming towards her to join her in the water.

In her post’s accompanying message, Menzies stated: ‘I’m not sure about the water temperature, but let me assure you, two minutes were more than enough!’

In the video, it appears that the body of water could be Loch Tay. Her family resides on a vast property, located in Kenmore, Perthshire, right by the lake.

Towards the end of the video, Menzies put on a white bathrobe and a woolen hat, then she and Mona engaged in a game of tug-of-war using a towel.

The fun clip comes after the presenter made a surprising career move with a new project.

Since 2016, I’ve been honored to share the screen on “A Place In The Sun,” but recently, I made the difficult decision to say goodbye to this wonderful show. It was an incredible journey that I will always cherish!

Working together with The Health Lottery, Danni launched a motivational podcast featuring guests like Kaye Adams from Loose Women.

At that point, Danni shared with The Scottish Sun her excitement about hosting her inaugural podcast series for The Health Lottery.

I’m eagerly looking forward to revealing heartwarming and enjoyable tales about compassion, strength, and recognition of accomplishments to folks of various backgrounds.

Additionally gracing the podcast were acclaimed filmmaker and photographer Doug Allan, esteemed chef Andy Beynon with his Michelin star, and popular writer Chris Brookmyre.

Starting from May 23, Danni’s show can now be accessed across various platforms such as Apple, Spotify, and Amazon Music.

The performance she’s giving is associated with a charitable initiative called “Pay it Forward,” initiated by The Health Lottery. This campaign has amassed more than £130 million to support various health-related causes throughout the United Kingdom.

According to Mark Nash, who serves as the company’s marketing director, he expressed that the podcast aims to motivate its audience to appreciate the pleasure of giving and acknowledging achievements, whether they are significant or minor. This podcast effectively demonstrates the essence of The Health Lottery.

Previously, it was affirmed by Danni that she is currently unattached. She further mentioned that she has been savoring life following a short-lived romance with Scottish Love Island celebrity Jay Younger, who is 31 years old.

In April, she demonstrated through the beautiful photographs she posted on a solo vacation to the stunning Cayman Islands, where she visited a friend.

Danni mentioned: “Things didn’t pan out with Jay, but it’s alright. Having a busy work schedule that requires a lot of travel certainly complicates finding time for a relationship.

Her fond memories of A Place In The Sun were soured by the untimely death of co-star Jonnie Irwin.

Back in February, I, a die-hard fan, couldn’t help but pour out my deepest emotions for the one and only Jonnie, who tragically passed away at just 50 years old, following a valiant fight against terminal lung cancer.

In my Instagram Stories recently, I shared a touching poem by Ida Banks. I also took the time to tell my followers that my dear former colleague will undoubtedly continue to live on through those of us who loved him deeply.

I’d like to think that when we pass away, our essence lives on through everyone who has ever cared for us.

‘That we will continue to exist in them, in their bloodstreams, for generations, for lifetimes.’

Danni added over the top: ‘You will Jonnie xxx’.
