Sadly, it was announced by the Danmachi Battle Chronicle team that the game will be closed permanently on September 29, 2025. They explained their decision, saying, “We’ve reached a stage where we find it challenging to continue providing a service that matches our players’ expectations.

Get excited for a mix of in-game and out-of-game content starting from July 30, which marks the beginning of our 2nd Anniversary Event and also the final event story. This event will include a new story penned by Fujino Omori, in addition to other recurring events that will continue until the end of service. The Japanese version will get a separate offline mode, and refunds can be issued for unused Paid Selas

After the announcement, they’ll stop selling Paid Selas on July 30th following maintenance. The game’s distribution and customer support will cease on the End of Service (EoS) date, but you can continue playing the game and use any remaining Paid Selas until the service is officially discontinued.

For Japanese gamers, here’s some delightful news: Developers have pledged to roll out an offline playable version for both Android and iOS devices. This new version will come equipped with a handful of features. Plus, you can transfer some of your data by linking your account before the game concludes. From September 29th to December 28th, refund requests will be entertained.

Although it’s disheartening that the game is wrapping up quickly, some enthusiasts have expressed disappointment and even anger towards the developers for “shutting down a 7-year-old gacha game” prematurely, especially considering it will only last another 2 years. Many are also advocating for the reintroduction of the original, Memoria Freese, as they found it to be superior.
