Aiming Incorporation has declared that they will be ceasing operation of their 3D Role-Playing Game (RPG), titled “DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE,” which was initially announced in July 2023 and officially released the following month. The game was based on the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Familia Myth Battle Chronicle series, and its final day of operation is scheduled for September 29, 2025.

DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE is ending service because the devs can’t maintain services players expect

Dear valued DanChro players,

It is with regret that we announce the conclusion of our service for “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Battle Chronicle”. The game will cease operation on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 3:00 PM (UTC +9).

Thank you for your continued support.

Unfortunately, it was announced by the DanChro team that the game will cease operation on September 29, 2025, worldwide. They explained that they had reached a stage where they felt it was challenging to provide the quality of service that matches their players’ expectations.

Get excited for a mix of in-game and out-of-game content, starting with our 2nd Anniversary Event on July 30, which will also mark the conclusion of our storyline. This event, penned by Fujino Omori, will introduce a fresh narrative, accompanied by other recurring events all the way to the end. For further information, please visit our official website.

The Japanese version will get an offline mode, and refunds for unused Paid Selas can be requested

After the announcement, they plan to stop selling Paid Selas from July 30th following some maintenance. On the End of Service (EoS) date, both distribution of the game and customer support will cease. However, you can continue playing the game and using any remaining Paid Selas until the service officially concludes.

For Japanese gamers, there’s fantastic news: Developers have guaranteed an offline version for both Android and iOS platforms, offering a handful of features. Additionally, you can transfer some of your data by linking your account prior to the game’s conclusion. Refund requests will be entertained from September 29 until December 28.

Although it’s unfortunate that the game is coming to an end so quickly, some players are expressing disappointment and even frustration because the developers have essentially “shut down a 7-year-old gacha game” prematurely, leaving it to last just two more years. Many are also demanding the reintroduction of the original game, Memoria Freese, as they believe it was far superior.
