Danielle Lloyd Shares Emotional Skin Cancer Update and Surgery Scars

Danielle Lloyd shared the outcome of her skin cancer operation, discussing her health struggles openly.

In February, the model, aged 41, disclosed that she had received a cancer diagnosis following an observation of a change in one of her moles.

On Thursday, she disclosed in a video message that she had recently undergone surgery, showing pictures of her recovery journey and announcing her decision to permanently avoid tanning beds.

While en route to get a spray tan, she openly admitted feeling ‘anxious’, but also shared that having skin cancer had significantly altered her perspective on life.

She shared that she once considered herself a devoted sun enthusiast, rarely considering the potential danger of skin cancer. Using tanning beds prior to vacations? Definitely yes.

After careful consideration, I’ve chosen to prioritize my health and being present for my children above all else. This means opting for a simulated glow instead. The results of my second operation are pending, but I remain hopeful and committed to shielding my skin from harmful UV rays in the days ahead.

In the video collage, Danielle showed an image of her healing scars following mole surgery and also her newly acquired sun-kissed glow from switching to spray tans instead of tanning beds.

Danielle posted an emotional video on Instagram in February, disclosing that she’d been diagnosed with cancer following the discovery of a mole alteration.

Later on, she shared the heartfelt conversation she had with her oldest sons Archie (age 14), George (13), and Harry (11) – the boys she shares with her former spouse Jamie O’Hara – when she disclosed her diagnosis to them.

Danielle chose not to inform her two little kids, Ronnie (age 7) and Autumn (3), whom she co-parents with Michael O’Neill, as they are still too young to comprehend the situation.

She shared the information with the eldest three instead of the youngest pair. At this stage, Ronnie might misinterpret the term, assuming it meant someone was about to perish, as she explained to Closer.

‘It was difficult telling the older boys, Harry asked me if my hair was going to fall out.

It’s challenging as they’re quite young and I’m unsure if they completely grasp the situation, but fortunately, that’s beneficial since I don’t wish to burden them unnecessarily.

Danielle too remembered the instance when she learned about her skin cancer diagnosis, following a doctor’s visit where they examined a seemingly minor mole located on her collarbone that had undergone a change in shape.

The television host expressed that she sensed trouble when physicians contacted her, requesting an immediate visit. Upon receiving the news, she found herself overwhelmed with emotions, unable to hold back her tears.

She confessed that she’d been struggling to keep composed, but eventually couldn’t contain herself, as she was utterly stunned by what had happened.

Danielle mentioned that her husband, Michael, was just as surprised but has been incredibly supportive during this frightening experience.

She advised people not to disregard the warning symptoms, acknowledging that she herself hadn’t considered herself susceptible to skin cancer due to her olive complexion, but after more investigation…

Last month, Danielle revealed her recent skin cancer diagnosis in a heartfelt video posted on her Instagram Stories.

Trying hard to keep her emotions in check, she spoke up: “I wasn’t quite sure how to express this or even if I should, but it feels important for me to bring attention to such occurrences affecting others.

‘Today I have been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer.’

She emphasized the importance of seeking medical attention if anyone notices an unusual or abnormal growth, such as a mole, on their body. It’s always better to be safe and get it checked out by a doctor, as unexpected health issues can arise without warning.

The celebrity expressed her deep surprise upon receiving the news, yet she took the time to commend the Macmillan hospital nurses for their exceptional support.

She informed her audience that she’ll undergo an operation to determine if her cancer has metastasized, and she might have to wait as long as six weeks for the procedure. She hasn’t disclosed the particular type of skin cancer she was diagnosed with.

‘Honestly, it’s not what I expected today, I suppose it’s not what anyone suspects,’ she admitted.

friends, it’s important to take care of your skin. Avoid tanning beds, opt for a minimum SPF 50 sunscreen instead, and generally prioritize self-care. Remember, life can be unpredictable, so taking good care of yourself is crucial.

In 2023, I found myself unexpectedly rushed to the hospital due to excessive bleeding – an experience that unfortunately wasn’t my first brush with potential cancer.

After examination, doctors found that she had big cysts on her ovaries. Fortunately, following a biopsy, they informed her that these cysts were not cancerous.

Additionally, she detected a mass in her breast about a year ago, and following a biopsy in October, medical tests confirmed that the lump was non-cancerous.
