The new romantic drama is directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Justin Kuritzkes. It features a strong supporting cast, including Jason Schwartzman (known for Asteroid City), David Lowery, and Omar Apollo.

While Empire Magazine found the film to be a somewhat uneven experience, they described it as a melancholic and intense look at desire. They noted that its lack of a clear direction held it back, but praised Daniel Craig’s performance as particularly captivating.
Craig received Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for his acting, and he previously discussed the movie’s themes in an interview with Digital Spy.
He explained that the book’s unfinished state creates a specific effect. The feeling of emptiness and uncertainty it leaves you with at the end is intentional – he wants readers to feel that sense of ‘What happens now?’
