Daniel Craig in Narnia: The Ultimate Marvel Returns?
It seems that while the production of the fourth movie in the Chronicles of Narnia film series is only just getting started, there’s been a proposal for Daniel Craig to become part of the cast.
Netflix, along with director Greta Gerwig, are actively attempting to attract the well-known James Bond actor for an upcoming project, although a deal hasn’t been finalized as of now.
As of now, it remains uncertain which role the native of Chester, Cheshire, England, has been given an offer for, as reported by Deadline.
In terms of casting, the studio and Gerwig seem to be striving for a big-name cast, given that there were earlier rumors about popular singer Charli XCX discussing the part of the white witch.
Back in 2018, the idea for creating new movie adaptations and a television series inspired by C.S. Lewis’ cherished fantasy novels, The Chronicles of Narnia, was first conceived.
In a span of just two years, Netflix managed to secure the services of Greta Gerwig, who is also a co-writer and director for the Barbie film, to take charge of the production and adaptation.

Information regarding which aspects of the forthcoming Narnia movie will be highlighted is limited at this point, however, what’s known so far is that the film is scheduled for an exclusive two-week global Imax release during Thanksgiving 2026, prior to its availability on Netflix.
The storyline centers on the exciting escapades of kids within the magical realm of Narnia, led by Aslan – an intelligent and strong lion who has the ability to communicate and is the legitimate ruler of this land.
Gerwig joins the team following the first two movies being led by Andrew Adamson, with the third one steered by Michael Apted.
2005’s film adaptation of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” was an immense success globally, earning a staggering $745 million at the box office compared to its production budget of just $180 million.
The main characters included William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, Tilda Swinton, James McAvoy, Jim Broadbent, and Liam Neeson.

In 2008, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian proved popular among cinema-goers, bringing in a revenue of $419.6 million against its production budget of $225 million.
In the sequel, Henley, Keynes, Moseley, Popplewell, Neeson, and Swinton once again took on their characters, while Ben Barnes, Sergio Castellitto, Peter Dinklage, Eddie Izzard, Warwick Davis, Ken Stott, and Vincent Grass joined the cast as new additions.
In the latest edition, released in 2010 – titled “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” original cast members Henley, Keynes, Barnes, and Swinton reprised their roles. Additionally, Will Poulter was introduced to the ensemble.

The film ultimately earned approximately $415.6 million globally, having been produced within a budget ranging from $140 to $155 million.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d say: Beyond my iconic portrayal of James Bond in Casino Royale (2006), Quantum Of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time To Die (2021), it’s worth noting that Daniel Craig has graced the silver screen with a multitude of critically-acclaimed roles throughout his impressive career.
His resume boasts a variety of films, such as Elizabeth from 1998, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2001, Road to Perdition in 2002, Layer Cake in 2004, Munich in 2005, The Golden Compass in 2007, Defiance in 2008, Cowboys & Aliens in 2011, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in 2011, and Logan Lucky in 2017.
Lately, he has appeared in the recurring romantic drama “Queer” (released in 2024), and will be taking on the main role in “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” which is scheduled to debut on Netflix around mid-2025.
