Dancing With The Stars finalists announced as triple elimination sees three celebrities sent home following tense semi final
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience observing and analyzing various forms of entertainment, I must say that this season of Dancing With The Stars has been nothing short of captivating. The final five contestants, Lisa McCune, Ant Middleton, James Stewart, Nikki Osborne, and Samantha Jade, have all demonstrated remarkable growth, resilience, and a genuine love for dance.
On Sunday evening, it was disclosed who the last five contestants would be for the Dancing With The Stars finale, after a tough triple elimination took place earlier.
Sent packing were fan favourites Ben Cousins, Adam Dovile and Shane Crawford.
In the grand finale on Monday, it will be down to Lisa McCune, Ant Middleton, James Stewart, Nikki Osborne, and Samantha Jade to compete for the top spot, with me being one of them.
In a humble manner after losing, Shane showered appreciation towards his dancing partner Ash-Leigh Hunter with numerous thanks.
‘It’s been a wonderful experience. Ash is an incredible coach’ Shane said once he was eliminated.
Additionally, he acknowledged his fellow actors, remarking, “This is going to be an extraordinary finale” and hinting at the possibility of Ant emerging victorious.
Adam felt just as joyful for his dance peers and thankful towards his competition partner, Jess Raffa.
Shane expressed his happiness, stating he was having a fantastic time. He also mentioned he needed to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jess.
Ben meanwhile admitted that he found the process exhausting – but he wouldn’t change a thing.
As a seasoned athlete who has spent countless hours on the field and in the gym, I can empathize with the former footballer’s exhaustion at the end of a grueling training day. The sweat dripping from my brow, muscles aching, I too have found myself whispering words of exhaustion as I collapsed into bed, grateful for the respite that sleep would bring. It’s the price we pay for pursuing our dreams and pushing ourselves to the limit, but it’s a sacrifice I have always been willing to make, knowing that the love of the game is worth every ounce of effort.
Like the others, Ben had nothing but kind words for his dance partner Siobhan Power.
The athlete also compared the show to his time on the field during his football career.
Ben put it this way: “When you step up to perform, you only have one chance. It’s been quite an engaging experience, though.”
In the semifinals, the five finalists truly amazed everyone with their performances, as Samantha and Lisa each received a nearly flawless score of 39 out of 40 points.
Judge Sharna Burgess was blown away, commenting it was ‘phenomenal, you two are setting the bar.’
Lisa danced the Viennese Waltz flawlessly, tying Samantha’s score, as judge Helen Richey commented that Lisa made the dance appear effortless.
Meanwhile, James secured his grand final spot after a dance off with Adam and Shane.
Nikki danced an exuberant Quickstep, which earned her praise from each judge for her noticeable progress during the competition, culminating in a score of 34 points for her act.
Ant tapped into his intimate side scoring 37 points for his vulnerable contemporary routine.
James scored an impressive 35 points as he raised the dead with his riveting Paso Doble.
Shane meanwhile landed his Victorian era Quickstep with aplomb, receiving a total score of 30.
In a captivating Rumba performance, Adam led his dance partner, Jess Raffa, who expressed, “I’ve never danced this well on the show before. I simply surrendered. With him guiding us, it felt as if I could close my eyes.”
Ben gave it his all with an intense Argentine Tango, but a score of 17 saw him eliminated from the competition before Adam, Shane and James battled it out to compete in the dance off.
In the end, it was James who secured the coveted final place after impressing with his Charleston.
On Monday, Lisa McCune, Ant Middleton, James Stewart, Nikki Osborne, and Samantha Jade will compete fiercely to win the prestigious Mirror Ball Trophy.
Dancing With The Stars continues tomorrow 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus
