Dancing On Ice Star Forced to Quit After Shocking Injury Revealed!

Professional dancer Vanessa Bauer from Dancing on Ice has disclosed that she had to withdraw from the competition following a heart-wrenching injury.

The skater, who was partnered with Chris Taylor from Love Island, announced that she can’t carry on competing due to an injury she sustained during practice sessions.

In a video shared on Instagram, Vanessa announced some disappointing news. Regrettably, she won’t be able to proceed with Dancing on Ice alongside Chris.

It’s deeply disappointing for me. Since last October, I’ve been training Chris, and it’s incredibly rewarding for me to witness his significant progress in a new skill he didn’t have before – it’s always a joy to see my efforts bear fruit like this.

It has been truly gratifying for me to observe Chris’ progress over time, particularly his improvement since October and following the commencement of the live shows.

She then went on to explain what had happened and how she was having to put her health first.

Vanessa added: ‘Unfortunately, I met with a minor mishap at the backstage area for Dancing on Ice last weekend, right before the Sunday night live broadcast.’

Initially, I hadn’t fully grasped the extent of the problem, but subsequent MRI scans revealed that I suffered from a Grade 3 ligament tear and a significant Grade 2 sprain injury.

Given my current injury, it’s unwise to go skating. Therefore, I’m following all the recommendations provided by the medical experts, and I feel reassured knowing they are taking care of me.

Speaking about her upcoming rehabilitation for an injury, Vanessa admitted, “My tolerance for pain is questionable. This past week, I’ve been skating through quite a bit of discomfort without realizing the extent of the injury, so I didn’t express my pain.

‘It just goes to show that you should listen to your body and try to tune into your body a lot.

Rather than making things worse by pushing through an existing injury, it seems wise to take a break for rehabilitation and prioritize my physical and mental health instead. It’s unfortunate that I must step away, but it’s necessary for my overall well-being.

‘But I’m excited to get better and to get back to skating properly every single day.’
