Dancing on Ice 2024: First contestant confirmed as iconic reality star

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity trends and a deep appreciation for resilience, I must say that Ferne McCann’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to adapt and grow within the ever-changing landscape of reality television is truly commendable. From her humble beginnings on TOWIE to her successful stint in I’m A Celebrity, finishing third place is no small feat!

Famous reality TV personality, Ferne McCann, has officially become the first celebrity participant announced for Dancing on Ice 2024 competition.

On this week’s Good Morning Britain broadcast, the mother of two expressed her enthusiasm: “I can hardly wait! This is a significant undertaking, but I’m thrilled about the dazzle and elegance that the program offers.

Ferne shot to fame in 2013 when she joined the cast of The Only Way Is Essex for its ninth series.

She has been featured on Celebs Go Dating and I’m A Celebrity, ultimately ending her journey in third position on the latter program.

Lately, she’s been the leading actress on ITV’s show “My Family And Me,” and just this past week, she announced that the upcoming season of her long-running reality series will be its last.

Over the past 7 years, the television program, originally titled “Ferne McCann: First Time Mum,” has chronicled Ferne’s journey through pregnancy and the early years of her child, Sunday. After 13 series, it continues to captivate viewers.

The show was retitled in 2023 when Ferne welcomed her second daughter Finty.

However, she has decided to end things after a tough choice, alongside her businessman fiancé Lorri Haines and their 6-year-old daughter Sunday, whom she shares with ex-partner Arthur Collins.

She shared with The Sunday Mirror, “The moment everything shifted for me was when they asked, ‘Are you well-known?’ Some of my friends had spotted me in an advertisement.

And I replied with something along the lines of, “I’m not sure…” This response left me uneasy as I didn’t want her to think she was in any way distinct from others.

Following that, it seemed as though an entirely new scenario unfolded, prompting me to take some time apart to understand my emotions. It appeared to be the opportune moment to bring things to a halt.

She noted that despite Sunday appearing on the program since her birth, she hadn’t actually watched it much and wasn’t familiar with the circumstances – until that particular question prompted her to become aware.

Just prior to Ferne’s declaration, rumors circulated that another well-known EastEnders actor had agreed to participate in Dancing On Ice as well.

It’s being whispered that Charlie Brooks, renowned for her villainous character in EastEnders and victor of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (2012), might be part of the illustrious cast for the upcoming season.

The 43-year-old actress is widely recognized for her powerful depiction of the character Janine Butcher, a memorable villain, in the long-running BBC soap opera, which aired from 1999 until 2022.

Two years back, on Christmas Day in EastEnders, she finally bid farewell from Albert Square.

It appears that the popular soap star could be joining other famous faces in tackling the ice-cold challenge on the much-loved skating program.

According to a source, The Sun reported that Charlie is an excellent acquisition. Her large fan base from EastEnders, coupled with her vibrant character and spark, makes the ITV team optimistic that she could rekindle some of her popular ‘I’m a Celebrity’ charm on their platform.

1) ‘Since several prominent female celebrities have chosen not to participate in Strictly this year due to the ongoing scandals, they’re really capitalizing on it and assembling an exceptional cast. It promises to be quite a spectacle!’
