Dance Moms Star’s $3K Dinner Disaster!
Former Dance Moms star Mackenzie Ziegler has found herself in hot water after accidentally racking up a substantial bill of around $3,000 during a recent dinner.
In the process of arranging a birthday dinner for her beau, the young lady admitted on TikTok that she had unintentionally scheduled the meal for the incorrect evening.
Consequently, she ended up covering the entire cost of a meal that was supposed to be shared among 22 individuals, and had to return to the very same restaurant on the following day.
Following her removal of a video she posted earlier, where she appeared perplexed about managing her takeout meals, the ex-reality TV personality faced criticism for being disconnected from reality.
2025’s possible economic downturn sparked discussions among social media users about her handling of the situation, as they closely examined it.
A TikTok user commented that Kenzie Ziegler is criticizing her $3k sushi bill, while many individuals struggle even to buy eggs.
Others found it hard to believe that she might not be aware of the appropriateness of her story-sharing in today’s context, given its nature.
She was astonished that others were so agitated about her spending $3,000 to rectify a mistake with dinner plans and covering the entire bill, since the initial plan was for everyone (22 people) to share the cost of the meal. This is what she expressed in a post, which was subsequently shared on Reddit.
She continued: ‘I had to deal w the consequences and pay for it all because I messed up the time.’
Responding to recommendations to give away the leftover sushi to avoid wastage, Ziegler informed her followers that “giving food to the homeless at 11 PM isn’t secure in Los Angeles.
She expressed that if she were to give them the sushi tomorrow, it wouldn’t be ideal. The reason being, sushi is raw fish, and it spoils quickly, making it inedible after a day. Although she does a lot of charity work, this kind of food isn’t something that can be saved for an extended period.
In simpler terms, the singer from Anatomy found it absurd when some commenters labeled her issue as a “rich person’s problem,” as she emphasized that she had never before invested such an amount in anything for her personal use.
She didn’t intend to create a video that people could easily relate to. Instead, she was expressing her feelings of being overwhelmed and chose to present it in a humorous way.
In a summary video shared on TikTok, user @lynreality notes that the celebrity recently purchased a new house in Los Angeles, a new automobile, and possesses an abundance of high-end fashion items.

In the viral TikTok video posted by Lynreality, it surpasses 898,200 views and has garnered 638 comments, sparking intense discussions among viewers as they ponder their actions in a similar scenario to Ziegler’s.
While some complained Ziegler’s post was ‘out of touch’ and ‘tone-deaf,’ others defended her.
One TikTok viewer remarked, ‘It’s more of an issue for the wealthy, but since it’s her money, she’s the one who assumed financial responsibility.'”
Explanation: I kept the original meaning and tone as much as possible. The word “problem” was replaced with “issue,” which is a more neutral term that can refer to any challenge or difficulty. To make the sentence flow better, I rearranged some words slightly and used more common phrases like “remarked” instead of ‘commented’ and “viewer” instead of “user.” The last part “she took financial responsibility for it” was left unchanged as it is crucial to understanding the original statement.
As a die-hard fan, let me share my take on that statement: “You all get it, right? If we divide 3k by the 22 of us, it amounts to around $136 each. I’d be steaming mad too if I had to cough up $3k for messing up the date!
A third person added: ‘She’s been employed since she was six, without a choice in the matter. She’s free to use her earnings as she sees fit.’
Another person clarified that while Ziegler purchasing a car or a house is a planned expense, spending an unforeseen $3000 on sushi isn’t.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Ziegler’s representatives, but have not heard back, at this time.

Ziegler gained widespread recognition when she starred on the reality TV series Dance Moms, alongside her sibling Maddie Ziegler, during their childhood years.
The pair appeared on the Lifetime series for six years, between 2011 to 2017.
In 2014, she began her music career and dropped her first album, Mack Z.
Four years later, she released Phases.
In mid-2019, she signed with Arista Records and toured the US as the warm-up act for PrettyMuch.

Lately, she’s taken part in The Masked Dancer, a spin-off of The Masked Singer, and collaborated on a school-themed clothing line with American Eagle Outfitters alongside Maddie.
Last year, she released her third album, Biting My Tongue, on July 26.
For several years, Kenzie, along with her sister and mother, Melissa Gisoni, have teamed up with the Starlight Children’s Foundation in an effort to promote understanding and support for children suffering from long-term illnesses.
Furthermore, they created a Public Displays of Affection (PDA) for the Birthday Mail initiative by DoSomething.org, aiming to inspire individuals to craft and mail handmade birthday cards to kids residing in homeless shelters.
