As a lifestyle expert with years of experience, I deeply empathize with Min’s heart-wrenching story. Losing a child is an unimaginable tragedy that no parent should ever have to endure. It’s admirable how she has found solace and strength in her daughter Mina’s love for dance, using it as a means to express their deep affection for Siyan.

One star from Dance Moms: A New Era has shared a distressing truth concerning the passing of her child.

Min, a Chinese-American mother and the eight-year-old dancer on the Hulu show, admitted to concealing the news about her 13-year-old son Siyan’s passing from her family members residing in China.

She shared the shocking secret after Mina opened up about Siyan’s death during dance rehearsals.

In their rehearsal, the team was working on a performance titled ‘The Medium,’ a piece centered around a psychic medium connecting with a spirit in the hereafter. At one point, Coach Glo Hampton posed a question to the girls: “Have any of you ever experienced losing someone dear?”

At that moment, Mina confessed that her older brother had been killed in a car accident.

Mina broke down crying when her dance companions enclosed her in a warm group hug, with her emotional mother watching from the nearby lounge area.

Speaking to producers later on, Min confirmed that Siyan had died on January 17, 2021.

‘My parents don’t know my son passed away,’ she admitted through tears.

She’s currently in China. Whenever I phone them, they inquire about their grandson, to which I respond, “He’s fine.” I prefer not to let them know this, and she wept as she said it.

A group of other mothers gathered around Min, with Leslie observing, “Her facial expression clearly showed the pain she was feeling.”

She added, ‘I can’t think of anything more horrific, more of a nightmare than losing your kid.’

Towards the end of the show, Min found herself emotional once more when her daughter’s dancing troupe was about to perform.

“Mina, I’m grateful for your ability to perform this dance, as it beautifully expresses our affection for Siyan, my mom is saying,” she emotionally exclaimed.

‘Siyan died two years ago and this time is your time to dance for him.’

Speaking candidly, I’ve made an effort to avoid dwelling on the matter, but it seems my mind has a way of its own. Whenever he comes to mind, tears well up and I find myself powerless to stop them. It feels as though my eyes are aching from the strain.

As a former ballroom dancing instructor with over two decades of teaching experience, I firmly believe that a skilled dancer can infuse emotion into any dance routine. Recently, I had a touching moment during a class when one of my students, Mina, demonstrated this very concept in a beautiful and poignant way.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement for “Dance Moms: A New Era” – the highly-anticipated revival of Lifetime’s Dance Moms, which took a brief hiatus in 2019.

The show, titled “The Reboot,” is streamed on Hulu and stars Glo Hampton stepping into the role previously held by Abby Lee Miller as the coach.

The pair were friends for many years, but Glo recently admitted that they’re no longer speaking.

When queried if Abby offered any guidance on leading the well-known series, Glo shared with Page Six, “I believe she may not have wished to advise me. We’re not in contact right now.”

Glo went on saying, “She extended her congratulations to me, and I assumed she was fully on board with the project. But when I tried to arrange a meeting since we were both in Florida, she seemed uninterested.”

As someone who has experienced my fair share of uncertainties in relationships, I must confess that I am unsure where we currently stand. However, I can sense that she may have some strong feelings towards our situation. I get it, but let me clarify that this new show is not hers; it’s just a part of my journey right now.
