Dakota Johnson looks effortlessly chic in an all black outfit as she steps out in sunny New York City
Dakota Johnson looked effortlessly chic as she stepped out in the New York City sunshine on Monday.
For her recent public appearance, the 35-year-old actress, who is set to star in the upcoming movie “Materialists” in June, opted for a laid-back, all-black ensemble.
With a small, friendly grin towards the cameras, Dakota donned a pair of straight-legged denim trousers and a bodysuit while out in Tribeca, Manhattan.
She adorned a chic ensemble, throwing on a sleek leather trench coat first, followed by pairing it with tall, coordinating high heels to boost her height slightly.
Dakota, who has Melanie Griffith as her mom, finished off her look with a pair of black shades and some stylish gold hoop earrings.

After turning heads at the 78th Cannes Film Festival a few weeks back, the actress from Fifty Shades of Grey visited New York for an evening meal with another renowned star, Jennifer Lawrence, who is 34 years old.
On Saturday evening, two old friends, each with past relationships involving Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of Coldplay at age 48, were seen exiting a luxury restaurant after arriving in a vehicle.
At nighttime event, Jennifer Lawrence from The Hunger Games and Dakota nearly twinned their looks. Jennifer chose an entire black attire, while Dakota donned a black top, a brown jacket, and large, gray pants.
In the past couple of weeks, it’s been the second occasion where they were seen together, following their attendance at the premiere of Jennifer’s latest movie, “Die My Love,” in Cannes.
Additionally featuring Robert Pattinson aged 31, this film narrates the tale of a young woman residing in a remote region who is fighting against mental illness, specifically psychosis.
On May 17th, their stylish attire matched the French film festival, as they carefully followed the updated guidelines on modest dressing.
Wearing the role of the main character gracefully, Jennifer donned a flowing, sleek black dress, accentuating it with a burst of color through her silver and vibrant green earrings as accessories.
She pulled her hair back to draw attention to her captivating makeup style, characterized by significantly darker eyes than what she showcased during her casual dinner in New York.

Hey there! I can’t help but gush over Dakota’s latest look – she’s really taken me back to the groovy ’70s! She donned this incredible ensemble that caught my eye right away – a bold, patterned brown jacket paired with an equally stylish dress. It’s like time travel fashion at its finest!
She enhanced the appearance even more by donning big, bold brown sunglasses, and let her hair cascade naturally in loose waves, this time down.
On the following day, Dakota made an impressive appearance at the 2025 Kering Women In Motion Awards and the Presidential Dinner during the festival, wearing a stunning Gucci gown that drew attention on the red carpet.
Walking side by side with luminaries like Halle Berry, this actress accessorized her appearance with elegant chandelier earrings that complemented her outfit. She also wore her hair pulled back into an updo.
Accompanying stars such as Halle Berry, the actress added a touch of sophistication to her style by wearing coordinated chandelier earrings and styling her dark hair in an updo.
As a die-hard fan of Dakota’s, I couldn’t contain my excitement when she graced the prestigious Cannes Film Festival for the first time, showcasing her upcoming masterpiece, “Splitsville.” This cinematic gem is a testament to her creative prowess, as it was brought to life through her very own production company, TeaTime Pictures.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about this film that delves into the complexities of an open marriage between a couple, involving their friends. Starring alongside them are the talented Adria Arjona, Nicholas Braun, and O-T Fagbenle. This movie promises to be a captivating exploration of relationships and human dynamics, and I simply can’t wait to see it!
Distributed by Neon, Splitsville hits theaters in late summer on August 22.
Johnson stated to Variety in 2019 that one of the main reasons he established TeaTime Pictures was his desire for greater involvement and more fulfillment within the film industry.

She commented: ‘I was craving for additional discussions, creativity, and teamwork. On occasion, as an actor, I attended the debut of a film only to exclaim, “That’s not what I expected us to produce!”‘
The person expressed that they desired more interaction, innovation, and unity. At times, acting in a movie, they would find themselves surprised at the final product during its premiere by stating, “This isn’t what I thought we were creating.
Prior to their separation, Dakota Johnson will appear in the movie “Materialists,” set to release on June 13, sharing the screen with Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans.
As reported by Deadline, the series “Materialists” revolves around a matchmaker who juggles her connection with a wealthy man while grappling with unresolved emotions towards her former waiter-actor boyfriend.
The cast also includes Marin Ireland, Zoe Winters and Dasha Nekrasova.
