As a lifestyle observer, I’ve been following Dakota Johnson’s recent public appearances, and it’s interesting to note she’s been out and about since the news broke about Chris Martin and Sophie Turner. It’s always a moment when someone steps out after a relationship shift, and she definitely seemed to be handling things with grace.
The 36-year-old actress, who recently ended her eight-year relationship with Chris Martin of Coldplay this summer, attended the Vogue World: Hollywood show at Paramount Pictures Studio in Los Angeles.
Just before she was seen in public, news surfaced that Chris, 48, and Sophie, 29, have been getting to know each other after Sophie recently ended her relationship with Peregrine ‘Perry’ Pearson.
Despite hearing the news, Dakota didn’t seem bothered and completely wowed the crowd at the fashion event. She looked gorgeous in a shimmering pink dress.
Dakota wore her smooth, dark brown hair down and completed her look with glamorous makeup, including pink lipstick.
According to the Daily Mail, the Game of Thrones actress recently went on a date with the singer shortly after ending her two-year relationship with Perry.
Chris and Dakota split in June after almost eight years together and an engagement.
Okay, so everyone was hearing rumors about Sophie and Perry’s relationship all summer – on again, off again, you know how it goes. But what I’m hearing is that things are officially over. Apparently, they actually split after a really fancy wedding at the end of September. It’s a sad situation, but it seems like they’ve truly gone their separate ways.

Instead of dwelling on her breakup with the potential Viscount, Sophie quickly moved on and was seen on a date with Chris just a week later.
Chris Martin, known for his public ‘conscious uncoupling’ from Gwyneth Paltrow, has been performing in London this summer as part of Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres tour, with several concerts at Wembley Stadium.
Although Sophie seems to be dating the lead singer of Coldplay now, Perry quickly found someone new as well.
People have reported seeing the future owner of the Cowdray estate in West Sussex at a popular nightclub in west London last week. He was holding hands with a tall, blonde woman who looked remarkably like Sophie – and it was quite a funny resemblance.
A representative for Sophie Turner declined to comment.
Sophie was surprised with a special birthday message from Chris Martin, her new partner, arranged by her ex-husband, Joe Jonas. The video revealed Sophie is a huge Coldplay fan and she was visibly emotional while watching it.

While at a restaurant, Joe showed his phone to the actress and said, ‘Someone wants to wish you a happy birthday.’
Holding her hands to her face in shock, Sophie squealed: ‘It’s Chris Martin!’
Chris Martin from Coldplay sent a message wishing everyone a wonderful day, sending his love and hoping they’re all having a great time, along with greetings from the rest of the band.
The singer signed off the video, ‘Thanks for being awesome, bye,’ and blew a kiss to the camera.
Sophie seemed overjoyed, fighting back tears as she said, “I won’t cry on camera.” She quickly covered her face with her hands and returned Joe’s phone.
Joe and Sophie, who used to date, seemed cheerful together. Joe chuckled at Sophie’s response, and they celebrated with a high-five.
The actress married her former partner, Joe, in 2019, and they have two daughters: Willa, who is four years old, and Delphine, who is two.
The couple officially divorced in September 2024, just over a year after the Jonas Brothers singer initiated the separation process.
Sophie and Perry were first seen together in 2023, and before rumors of a breakup surfaced, they were last publicly spotted at the Glastonbury Festival in June.

Peregrine is the oldest son and expected heir of Michael Pearson, the 4th Viscount Cowdray. His father, a former movie producer, controls a large part of the Pearson media company.
Cowdray Park Polo Club, located on his family’s historic estate, features ten polo fields and holds over 450 games annually.
In August, it was reported that she posted nine photos to her Raya profile, featuring vacation pictures and a shot of her dancing in a hotel room.
The Sun reports that the actress shared her hobbies on the app, including music, pasta, movies, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the sunshine.
The Daily Mail contacted Sophie’s representative for comment at the time.
Rumors of their breakup started circulating after Sophie unfollowed Peregrine on Instagram earlier in the year, leading many to believe they had already split.
The actress began dating the son of Viscount Cowdray in December 2023, following her split from Joe Jonas after four years of marriage.
Sophie and her partner frequently share updates about their relationship online, and Sophie’s most recent post featuring her partner, Perry, was from January.
Although the couple seems to be going through a difficult time, reports from late last year suggested Sophie was hoping to start a family with him.
Joe was seen last week chatting with an unidentified woman at a private party in Miami. The party was thrown by Bad Bunny to celebrate his Billboard Latin Artist of the 21st Century Award, according to the Daily Mail.
People saw Jonas Brothers member, 36, talking to a woman at a private table inside Gekko, the popular restaurant co-owned by Bad Bunny and David Grutman.
Video footage obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail shows the two individuals engaged in a close conversation, sharing laughs and appearing to be enjoying each other’s company.
Okay, everyone says they weren’t showing any affection in public, but honestly, that doesn’t mean anything! I’m dying to know if they’re actually together, and the lack of public displays just leaves me completely guessing! Are they a couple or aren’t they?! It’s killing me!
According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, the woman and Jonas briefly left the table together, going into a nearby room that contained a restroom and bar. They returned to their table a few minutes later.
The Daily Mail has reached out to the Cake By The Ocean singer’s rep for comment.
Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, and actress Dakota Johnson began dating in 2017, after Chris split from his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, in 2015. He and Paltrow, an Oscar-winning actress, have two children together.
Chris and Dakota secretly got engaged several years later.
However, the Daily Mail reported in June that the couple had split up after being together for almost ten years.
According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail, the couple had actually broken up some time ago, but hadn’t formally announced it yet.
Dakota really wanted them to be a couple because she deeply loved him and cared for his children.
The source explained that the couple’s split wasn’t immediate. They repeatedly broke up and got back together, sometimes finding that distance actually helped their relationship – being apart while working allowed them to appreciate each other more. However, each time they reunited, small issues would resurface and accumulate, ultimately revealing they weren’t a good long-term match.
According to a source at the Daily Mail, Dakota Johnson is heartbroken about not seeing Chris Martin’s children, Apple and Moses, as often, but she wants them to know she’ll always be a supportive presence in their lives.
