Dakota Fanning has reportedly joined the exclusive dating app Raya after experiencing some less-than-ideal dates recently.
‘I did it for fun,’ the 31-year-old Emmy nominee revealed in her Vanity Fair cover story Tuesday.
‘My girlfriend made it for me. I was like, if I don’t, then I’m going to think…’
Dakota’s younger sister Elle Fanning finished her sentence: ‘…maybe my husband is there!’
‘I can confirm that he is not,’ the Twilight alum scoffed. ‘I’m canceling this thing.’
Dakota’s dating profile uses the Ying Yang Twins’ song ‘Salt Shaker.’ While looking at potential matches, she commented that she hadn’t recognized many people so far.

Raya has attracted a lot of well-known users, including celebrities like Charlize Theron, Channing Tatum, John Mayer, Olivia Rodrigo, Joe Jonas, Sharon Stone, Andy Cohen, Kiernan Shipka, Eric Stonestreet, Drew Barrymore, Niall Horan, Simone Biles, Chet Hanks, Chelsea Handler, and Brandi Cyrus.
If approved, a monthly subscription to the 11-year-old app for Apple devices will cost between $25 and $50.
Kelly Fanning has previously dated several people, including model Jamie Strachan (2013-2016), real estate broker Logan Markley (2016-2017), and Henry Frye (2017-2018).
In 2016, the Perfect Couple star confessed that she found dating ‘in general, horrific.’
Dakota, who was born Hannah, told Town & Country that she finds it awkward having to go through the motions of asking questions and pretending to eat during these situations. She described the whole experience as feeling very forced and unnatural.
I like being introduced to people through friends, because it’s a good way to ensure they’re a safe and normal person.
Actress Dakota Fanning will share the screen with her 27-year-old brother for the first time in a movie adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s popular 2015 novel, *The Nightingale*. The film, directed by Michael Morris, is scheduled for release in 2027.
‘We’ve literally never done a scene together, ever,’ the Madewell collaborator marveled.
Although we have a lot in common, we’re fundamentally different people. What might be a good fit for her wouldn’t work for me at all. I’m not envious or trying to compete with her, but I suspect others might think I am.
Dakota will be at the world premiere of the horror movie *Vicious* this Friday at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. The film will then be available to stream on October 10th through video on demand and Paramount+.

In the film, Fanning plays Polly, a woman who becomes entangled in a creepy and unsettling mystery after receiving a peculiar gift late at night.
Oh my gosh, you guys, did you hear?! The incredible Georgia native with the amazing blonde hair is going to be playing a mom named Jenny in this new show, ‘All Her Fault’! It’s a mystery set in the suburbs, and it’s eight episodes long – seriously, eight episodes isn’t enough! It’s coming to Peacock on November 6th, and I’ve already marked my calendar. I’m SO excited!
Netflix has ordered a second season of Jenna Lamia’s mystery series, The Perfect Couple, meaning Dakota Johnson will likely return as Abby Winbury, the character suspected of murder.
In addition to ‘The Pale Blue Eye,’ Fanning will also appear in two other upcoming films: a romantic drama set in Alaska directed by Joe Swanberg, and ‘Alma,’ a haunting family story directed by Sally Potter.
The face of Clé de Peau Beauté started her career as a successful child actor, starring in popular films like I Am Sam, Taken, Uptown Girls, Man on Fire, War of the Worlds, Charlotte’s Web, and The Secret Life of Bees.
