Daisy Ridley’s Jaw-Dropping Red Carpet Transformation at SXSW: From Star Wars to Edgy Glamour!

At the SXSW event in Texas, Daisy Ridley made a stylish and modern entrance on the red carpet for the world debut of her film “We Bury The Dead” on Sunday.

The 32-year-old British actress was stunning in a deep-cut black gown that subtly highlighted her neckline and accentuated every curve of her captivating physique.

Daisy’s dress additionally featured mesh sleeves, and she accentuated the attention-grabbing style with a pair of sharp-toed shoes.

Instead of wearing a necklace, the actress from Star Wars chose to accentuate her outfit with stunning diamond earrings.

As a devoted follower of style, I carefully enhanced my delicate traits with impeccable makeup and artfully arranged my medium-length hair into soft, wavy locks.

In the morning, I donned a chic sleeveless little black dress with a collar, paired with dark pantyhose and stylish heels, as I showcased the upcoming film.

This morning, I opted for a sleek, sleeveless LBD, complete with dark pantyhose and coordinating pumps, while highlighting the forthcoming movie.

She was accompanied at the Shutterstock Portrait Studio by her We Bury the Dead director, Zak Hilditch, as well as her fellow actor, Mark Coles Smith, who portrays Riley in the movie.

In the intense zombie thriller “We Bury The Bodies,” Daisy takes on the role of Ava, a woman driven by desperation who decides to join a ‘corpse recovery team’ in the hope of locating her husband alive amidst the turmoil of Tasmania.

Apart from appearing in Martin Campbell’s action-thriller titled Dedication, she is also slated to reprise her groundbreaking role as Rey ‘Skywalker’ in Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s 2026 adaptation of Star Wars: New Jedi Order.

In a recent interview with Backstage, she mentioned that the first three movies were made relatively closely in the larger context. This leads to her reflection: “Am I still able to play Rey as I did before?” she asked.

It’s been some time, and events have unfolded within the Star Wars universe. This leaves us with numerous questions about the past, questions that I, as well as the characters, grapple with. In essence, unraveling these mysteries presents a significant challenge.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that each new project means collaborating with various actors and directors, which introduces fresh perspectives. This constant change in creative direction seems to be an ongoing process of growth and evolution, as it’s a different individual’s take on the work.

It came to light last Tuesday that Daisy had an impressive income the previous month, even though she hasn’t starred in a Star Wars movie since 2019.

In 2015, she gained widespread recognition for her role as Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy movies: The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker.

Currently, it’s been revealed by Richard Eden from The Daily Mail that Daisy has amassed nearly £14 million in profits for her business, acting as a conduit for her income.

In 2015, which was also the year she made her debut in Star Wars, she established Fawks Ltd. More recently, in May of this year, she announced a profit of £730,000 for that particular year.

There is no salary disclosed for Daisy, who used to pull pints before getting her big acting break.

As a child, she resided in Maida Vale, a district of London, with her dad, Christopher Ridley who was a photographer, and her mom, Louise Fawkner-Corbett, who worked in banking.

Following her iconic performance in Star Wars, Daisy Ridley appeared alongside Tom Holland in the movie “Chaos Walking” which was released in 2021.

In addition, she lent her voice to the animated movie “Peter Rabbit” in 2018 and the video game “Twelve Minutes” in 2021 as well.

In the realm of sci-fi movies, Daisy played prominent roles in Chaos Walking (released in 2021), an independent drama titled Sometimes I Think About Dying (slated for 2023), and another psychological thriller, The Marsh King’s Daughter (also due in 2023).

Last year she also portrayed Gertrude Ederle in the biographical drama Young Woman and the Sea.

Currently, Daisy is wedded to her partner Tom Bateman, whom she started dating back in 2017. Speculations about their engagement arose when Tom was seen wearing a ring on his ring finger in the year 2019.
